I love the color & the distressed finish of the photo for the listing,.. & I am completely aware that when you work with any “natural” product,.. there will be variations,.. however in person,.. the distressed areas are more like scrapes & actually worn/damaged areas,.. the underside is smooth & nice in about a 2 inch area,.. the rest is ugly & chunky “meaty”,.. thickness is uneven,.. very thin in random spots,.. my guess is that they did not inspect the product for quality and/or consistency before selling it,.. which is pretty disappointing,..

I only read the description calling it thick. I should have read that its 1.4mm thick, or thin I should say. Didn’t hold up for a rasp file steel knife sheath.

What about this leather was thick? Looks like nice leather but paper thin. The description was thick and thick it is not.

This is not real leather. Cannot tool it. It is nice supple material, but doesn’t suit my need.
