I bought these to run some 12awg wire in my boat. The open crimp pins are just barely usable with 12awg wire. They'd be just fine with 14awg or 16awg. I ended up soldering the pins to the wire to make a trustworthy connection.

The "Deutsch DT" connector system is a standardized set of mult-contact connectors which come in many different configurations but use the same "pin and socket" contacts inside the connectors. With the pins situated at the bottom of a deep shell and the sockets shielded beneath the orange cap, these connectors provide fairly good protection from the elements. Once connected, a locking tab holds keeps them from being accidentally disconnected.This particular kit consists of 5 complete sets of 4-pin connectors, with 20 pins and 20 sockets. The current Amazon listing price of $13 (with coupon) represents an excellent value for this high quality item.

This set of Deutsch connectors is pretty nice. The connectors are waterproof and easy to connect and disconnect. There are no instructions so you will have to look up how to use them if you haven't used these types of connectors before. You can also buy different cable ends with a crimping tool if you don't like the included style of cable end.Overall, these are good connectors if you're re-wiring a car.

The included connectors are good quality plastic, as are the locking wedges. The silicone seals are good quality as well, not too hard or too soft. The pins are also good, crimp nicely, and lock into the connectors well.

Nice connectors, they look nearly indistinguishable from genuine Deutsch connectors. No problems with assembly, and they fit together perfectly.
