The separate counterweight reduces vibration and along with the rubber overmold grip provides comfortable sanding. A shorter design allows users to get closer to the work surface and the one-handed locking dust bag attaches securely to the sander to aid in dust collection or the user can attach the power sander directly to the DWV010 or DWV012 dust collectors.

This is a good random orbital sander. It is PSA, not hook and loop. I wanted PSA and they are not so common anymore so I was happy to find this sander.

It needs the sticky type of sanding pad, not the velcro type. These are more expensive and so far, I'm having trouble getting them to stick. I've done a couple projects now, struggling with these stupid pads. Not the sander's fault, it would be sanding, but the pads it needs pose a problem for me.

Pero esta lijadora tiene un precio y tienes que comprar otra pieza para poder lijar ya que no cuenta con lija de velcro si suman le sale como si compras una lijadora mejor que esta

I like the old model (DW420) better than this new model and had my old DEWALT sander for 20+ years before deciding to get this one. The design is still great and I think this is one of the better orbit sanders on the market.

It's hard to tell from the photos and the description is iffy, but this looks like this sander used "hook and eye" (Velcro) type. Even in the description, it says people also buy...and it shows hook/eye sanding pads. So, I bought the sander to go with the pads I already had, but it came needing stick on pads, which always burn through and leave glue goop all over the sander, so back this one went.I had ordered the next one up, but after multiple delays I cancelled that one and went with this slightly cheaper one that didn't have variable speeds. Too bad I either missed the type of pads it needed or it wasn't indicated. I went back and fixed my old black and decker, which finished the job I had at home.

Nowhere is it mentioned in the description that this is a 120V tool, not 240V. Unless you have a current AND a cycle converter (60->50, 120->220) then this tool will be USELESS to you.
