It works and fits properly, but it’s hard to get it tightened down without scratching it up.

I still don’t know if all cars have the same handle or at least the brake button but this one fits 99-05.

I bought this for my wife's car and I still cannot find the correct pin for it, we brought the car to Subaru for its normal oil change and tire rotation, the worker offered to install it, we said yes, but after working on it for an hour and having to drive to Ace hardware for a lock pin, it still has yet to be installed, something is wrong with how the clip goes in, it is not a simple stock replacement. this could be user error but for now it is still just a paperweight.

I bought this item not knowing whether it would fit on a 2014 VW GLI. Gladly, it did work and the material is good quality.

Bought for husband's car and he loves it! Better than the one that came with the car. Very sturdy.

With some modification, bigger dowel hole, trimmed stem it fit my ford contour. I originally had a door stopper that I was making do with around the shifter, as the factory lockout is plastic and did not survive 200k+ miles.Cheap price made it an option to modify this piece to fit my vehicle. This is not a plug and play part for ford contour/focus.Highly recommend anyone with a vehicle that has a lock out that they cannot find parts for consider this piece to modify and make work.

Works well so far. It feels good, not like the cheep plastic one from the factory.Installing tips:-Put the car into 3rd gear.-Place a 2x4, or peaces of wood wrapped in a cloth between the dash and upper lip of the lockout head.-Use an old drill bit and hammer, to hammer the pin half way out. Getting it started is the hardest part.-Remove the blocks of wood-Hold the leaver to re-leave the strain on the gear box and continue to hammer out the pin until it falls out.-Leave the drill bit in the hole.-Shift into reverse (This stops anything from dropping down once the drill bit is removed)-Remove bit and old lockout.-Install new lockout and old pin (you may need to use the drill bit again to line up the hole with the pin)-tap the pin in a little bit so that nothing falls down and remove the bit.-shift into 3rd and place blocks of wood back like before.-hammer the pin flush with the lockout (use a cloth so to not scratch anything)-use the pointy part of the drill bit this time to punch it in 3-4mm.-install boot use penetrating oil to help it slide over the bottom and a small screw driver.-Install shift knob-done and enjoy.

This has a much nicer and chunkier feel to it than the stock button and goes REALLY well with the leather handbrake cover that matches the leather and stitching of the wheel. It simply screws onto a post the old button screws off of. I couldn't get the old one out without mangling it though, bc it's that cheap silver coated soft plastic.BUT I discovered this has a handy hidden security feature. IF you screw it in too far you can't push it in far enough to release the e-brake. So just by giving this a few twists, you can add ANOTHER layer of security against vehicle thieves. And it really would baffle them in the heat of the moment.Beyond being able to screw it in TOO far, you can also choose how much it sits in or sticks out of the handle just by how much you want to screw it on. This does mean that it freely twists if you mess with it while driving around but you can always add some loctite if you MUST have it be still.

Description says fits 2015 sti.. does not fit....Mounting points are completely different and no new hardware to even begin to make it work... with heavily skilled extensive customization and modifications you can make it happen but would probably still look bad for the amount of fabrication needed to make it work. The point is don't waste people's time advertising to more vehicles in the description that it doesn't really work for just to get more views, mislead and result in a complete waste of my time and money.
