The DG96-00297A Range Spark Module controls the spark for lighting the gas range's surface burners. It is essentially the power pack that controls the electricity that is needed by the Spark Igniter to actually light the range burner. Your spark module may need to be replaced in the following cases:
- There is a clicking noise, but the burner is not ignite.
- No click and burner does not ignite.
- There is clicking but it’s erratic.

Didn't get to use this part. When opened the stove top. Found that a mouse had chewed through a electric cable. Very fast service.
