I never thought that I would be reviewing a jock strap with cup, but this thing is awesome. Best cup I ever owned. My old cup was okay, but when I started Krav Maga, I found that a number of groin strikes came from underneath. After a couple of uncomfortable hits like this, I realized that my regular sports cup was design to only protect from frontal impact. I decided to search for a cup that had better protection for an angle-up shot.My research led me to the Diamond MMA Cup. I chose the jock strap version of this product as opposed to the briefs insert version. My belief is that the strap version will keep better positioning. This cup is very comfortable, doesn't slip out of position, and protects at every angle. If you are into any form of martial arts or MMA, this is the product for you.

I started playing hockey again last year after a long 15 year hiatus. I was using a cheap $5-10 cup from Peranis Hockey World which was great to get started, but was very uncomfortable. It put so much pressure on my inner thighs that it started hurting my muscles and was part of the reason I pulled my groin. It was big and stiff and didn’t flex with the body at all.I then researched this cup and the rubber flexible piece is why I really wanted to try this along with their strapping system. I was hoping it would be way more comfortable then those floating jock shorts and cheaper cups and that it would actually sit in place and it works great. This thing is so confortable that it’s hardly noticeable, and the strapping system actually holds it in place perfectly and helps keep everything tucked in place. Of course your going to notice any cup no matter what because it’s placed against your dangly bits, but this is the best you can get. It’s an expensive cup and strapping system but I guarantee you you won’t be disappointed. I honestly didn’t want to spend this much on a cup, but after months of using it I’m so glad I did and I recommend it to people all the time. Best cup I’ve ever used hands down.

I play combat archery and was looking for a secure cup that allows for full movement. I can honestly say this is the best cup I've ever worn. The multiple straps secures it perfectly, and I feel much braver as the arrows fly towards my family jewels. Incredible product! Thank you. Could see it working great for any sport.

Never worn a cup before, but I got hit on the jewels the other day and it hurt for an entire day. Decided to get this cup.Pros: easy to wear and does not move. Stays in place and does not move at all. It’s tight and it should fit most banana sizes. Once you start sparring and moving around you forget it’s there.Cons: it’s obviously not as comfortable as it is to not wear one. You have to pull it up as much as you can so that your thighs don’t squeeze it much. But I imagine that any cup will have some degree of discomfort.

Straps are good, but the cup isn't any better than a cheap rdx cup. Overpriced but good quality. Isn't perfect cus my nuts still got crushed doing jiu-jitsu

If you practice striking sports you need this cup. I have taken full power Muay Thai knees and kicks to the groin in competition with this cup and strap and, while inevitably uncomfortable, no significant pain or damage occurred. The strap is fantastic with no significant movement during practice or competition even after several years of use. I felt protected at all times. No adjustment has ever been needed once the proper placement was achieved. On top of that it is also very comfortable. I have forgotten that I was wearing it after practice and driven home with it on (hey don't judge its 5 minutes away and we don't have showers at our facility). The only downside to this cup is that it does have a bit of a rounded point to it. It will punish people who hit it, which is cool, but if you do jui jitsu, you may want to change out the cup for a fully rounded cup. You'll know what I mean if anyone if wearing one, takes your back, and begins to stretch you out in a rear naked choke. I have had people tap from the cup before I realized that training partners aren't going to appreciate your cup as much as you will and they will hate you. This is an excellent piece of equipment that any practitioner of the striking arts should make a part of their collection.

Having a hematoma in your testicles isn't fun. Don't know what a hematoma is? Basically internal bleeding/swelling, and I got that from a blunt force trauma injury a couple years back. I've never been the same unfortunately, but I don't let that get me down. I do MMA (techniques/styles include: Muay Thai, Kickbox, Western Box, Kali, Savate, Wing Chun/JKD) and wrestling (techniques/styles include: Grecco Roman, Sambo, BJJ, Judo). With those styles listed it's fair to say I have almost any base covered and when it comes to protection for my injury, I take it very seriously. My first try was the Diamond MMA compression/jock combo. I found these to slip too easily despite there being a drawstring, the back of the shorts always seemed the fall down more than I would like. Then it was multiple shock doctors which didn't last and then it was the RDX cup which wasn't big enough for my beanbag. I have an average size beanbag so I was surprised, but it just didn't have to right shape and I would poke out the sides. Finally, I decided to go back to the Diamond brand because I was very happy with the cup in the first place, and let me say that this is THE BEST. The cup is comfier than ALL the others, and the stitching is super high quality. Everything about the craftsmanship is fantastic and they have a great policy on returns and replacements. Take it from a guy who needs to take care of his beanbag as priority number one, this is the cup to get, well worth the money. Drawbacks? Only thing I can think of is the cup itself, like the act of wearing one. It does restrict movement to a degree, like getting a full pinch of your legs if you were to go take someone's back, but this is the drawback you take wearing any cup, there's a slight setback in mobility, but overall this cup/jock is perfect.

I use this for Krav Maga and this is probably the best investment I've made into my training. Well worth it!
