For quick, low precision measurements this is a great tool. It will not replace a laboratory grade oscilloscope, and it isn't intended to. But for field use it is wonderful. Great value for money.

Let's start at the beginning: this is a basic oscilloscope that is incredibly portable and fairly easy to use. It won't survive long in field use unless you keep it in some sort of carrying case (not supplied) to keep dirt out and protect the thumbwheel at the top.But at this price...well, you can afford to buy another if this one gets damaged. The instruction manual is incredibly short -- just pictures that identify things but explains nothing, and doesn't tell you anything about how to use (or NOT use) an o-scope. If you don't already know, you'll have to read up a bit before you even turn it on. There's no way to know what its internal protections are, so essentially always use a ?10? mfd capacitor on the red alligator clip. It's got an internal rechargeable battery, so you don't have to worry about that...but I have no idea how long it will run on a full charge. It has only one input, so you can't do Lissajoux patterns. But at this price, what do you expect?

this when paired with a X10 probe is great for quick measurments. i use it in audio to test output signals. it also works for higher freqency switching for internal amp repair.its battery powered so isolated from ground which is greatthe buttons work well, easy to navigate. the adapter for the BNC probe is pricy but aliexpress has them for cheaper - that helps.the only issue i have found is the P2P voltage limits are slightly smaller than advertised. i have a dso diy build it yourself scope that should in theory be the same as this but it has greater capacity before overloading. that is to say that i can go to 80v ac on my other scope where as this one goes off the screen at around 51vwhen tested against my keysight bench scope this has much more ripple in its measurments, it has no smoothing that i can tell, and its trigger is at times - more hunting than i would like. in the middle of a measurment it will jsut loose itself and throw the wave forum all over the screen.for the price id say this is a GREAT scope for portable work. its about twice hte price of the DIY DSO but you dont need to assemble anything,, dont need to build a battery controller and all that. this is turnkey.

I have used all kinds of scopes from vac tube to super DSO so I think I know things (old guy). This is a very tiny low bandwidth low energy circuit scope that works perfectly! I tested it on some equipment and all it's functions work just as advertised. It is very easy to use and to figure out. Nothing is complex or fancy about it but it is rock solid for what it does.Perfect for auto, audio, and lower frequency general purpose use which is like 90% of things.Operating it is very easy and the keys are high quality and the display is very easy to read and understand. It is very high quality and very well thought out and executed. It seems to charge very fast and the batteries really will last about 4 hours. No need to ever hook it to a PC since no reason to upgrade the software and it does not store data (take scope pics with your cell phone;).The only warning I would have it this is NOT rated for anything high voltage or high energy! Do not plug it into anything lethal or dangerous! It seems to self protect itself well against low energy mishaps but It has zero electrical safety ratings. So stay 40V or under above Earth ground.I am very very happy with it to throw in the tool kit. A truly excellent product for what it does. Highly recommended. And it costs less than most RF adapters I use. :D

I really like the smallness and handiness of this a lot especially if working on a car. But sometimes the voltage display is wrong and the 'auto' setting does not give a readable or useful trace. If you press it again it may get better. Maybe it's better to use to verify but not discover. Seller is really good and helped correct an initial problem with the order.

Sample rate could be a little quicker but all-in-all, it’s a handy device.

I was very skeptical about there being a $35-$45 DSO available on the market. I’ve been a Certified Master Automotive Technician (CMAT) for about 7 years and have been diagnosing using scopes to diagnose vehicles for even longer. I am used to using scopes that sell for thousands of dollars (Snap-On, Pico, etc). So when I saw this at $36 I was skeptical but not so much that I didn’t buy it.I bought it because I recently switched to being a mobile mechanic, which means you have to have everything with you. Lugging around a 4-channel scope and all the equipment adds space requirements. If I can opt to just have a small single-channel scope kit with me I’ll do it - as long as it serves its purpose. So I have had the opportunity to use it once already. I had a 2011 Infiniti G37 that was setting a camshaft position sensor code. I was able to use this DSO152 to verify the sensor was producing a reliable signal which then helped me find a wiring problem. I was astounded that something that costs $35 could help me do that. All that being said:Pros: small, cheap, good battery life, easy controls, good instruction manual, accurate waveform specs on screen, good plastic body, really good “auto” feature that will find the best settings to analyze a waveform.Cons: uses a very small BNC connector so you’ll need adapters (one is included), cannot save images - only pause, you can’t zoom in or out on a paused image, the trigger function is decent but it doesn’t allow horizontal adjustment - only vertical.
