I’ve had this WGRLIT radon detector for a while now, and I’m really happy with how well it’s made. The body is a smooth, heavy-duty plastic that feels solid. The display is bright and easy to read from across the room, and the buttons have a nice, responsive click. It sits steady on my desk without sliding around, and the compact size means it doesn’t get in the way.The battery life is good. So, I got the thing for 16 bucks. For that price it is an absolute bargain! It’s not the highest quality, or best made but it’s not terrible either. From my assessment it actually works pretty well because I have another brand meter and the readings are virtually the same. Comparing the two, this one is a much, much better value.I hope it lasts!

I returned, received with box crushed on one corner, detector rattled with loose parts inside.

Update 04April25: Replacement device was received and the replacement had an ON/OFF button. The product works as advertised and I feel better knowing my basement isn't trying to kill me.The product received was defective. It had no ON/OFF button that should have been on the right side of the product box. Just a hole in the box where the button should have been.Shaking the box let me know something was loose in the box. I suspect there was no one working that the final QA station when this item worked its way through manufacturing.Returned and asked for a replacement. I'll update once I receive the new one. Hopefully I will have a means of turning that one ON.
