The tool does not fit in a standard table saw slot. Assembly instructions are terribly lacking in detail.Multiple points for the tool to move while taking measurements makes accurate measuring impossible.

The dial gauge itself works well. The problem is the miter slot guide bar they use. It does not fit well in the miter track, in a standard sized table saw miter track. They use tiny screw to "fix" this. A few problems with this. The screws don't stay where you set them first of all. More importantly they scratch your table saw track!The bar that holds the gauge also has issues. You have to tighten it all the way down to even kind of keep it from moving around. They "fix" this by giving you adjustable screws to level it. These also scratch your table saw!Then there is how the gauge mounts to the bar. It's mounted with one screw, no washers. Worse they way it is designed it allows the gauge to move vertically even while all the way tight.Lastly the tip of the gauge has play. So if you don't pull it back while moving it, it ends up a bit sideways after. Throwing off the measurement. Between all of these issues, it's pretty much impossible to get accurate reading. There are 3 different places it can move around.EDIT: After looking at countless other items for a replacement, once come to the realization that this design is by far the most common.It's a terrible design, but no worse than mostAs such I have updated my review to 3 stars. Average.

Spoiler alert, I returned it. The instructions for this were a waste of their time and mine. It actually was accurate and that really surprised me. I tested it on a 123 Block up against my table saw fence and it was fairly accurate only out by about 0.002 an inch BUT in practical use, because of the poor construction of the jig, it was flapping around in the miter slot affecting the measurement to a point where I could not trust it. It's ability to give give the same result more than once was comical. In the end, I did not trust it and, as you guessed, I returned it. You get what you paid for.

It will not fit in a standard 3/4 inch miter slot. After checking with a caliper, the miter bar exceeds 3/4 inch in width.

You need this. Easy to set up, very accurate and works for checking square to your fence and your saw. Feels solid and for this price if it somehow magically broke, I would buy it again.

Product was relatively quick to assembly and seemed to be of good quality. Used it to calibrate my new table saw and found it to be accurate. The cost was somewhat hard to justify, but it did assist greatly in getting an easier, more accurate result.

Ich habe mir zusammen mit dieser Einstelllehre auch eine neue Tischkreissäge von DeWalt gekauft und bei der Einstellung des Parallelanschlags habe ich mir gleich den Höheneinstell-Schrauben meine Oberfläche der Führungsnut zerkratzt!Leider hat die Messuhr keine 1000'senstel Auflösung und die Messuhr ist etwas zu hoch positioniert was die Sägeblatteinstellung etwas ungenauer macht.Auch der beiden Toleranzausgleichsschrauben im Schiebeschlitten sind zu weit auseinander, so das bei den Endstellungen zum messen des Parallelanschlags, jeweils eine der Schrauben aus der Nut herausfällt und damit den Verfahrweg zum Messen begrenzt.Aber im großen und ganzen ist die Lehre für den Preis brauchbar und ich werde sie nicht zurückgeben.

Not exactly what I expected, but partly my fault. Only measures to one hundredth of an inch and was needing to the thousandth. So my fault for not paying attention to that. Otherwise it works as described.
