I bought this to save me time. My Garage shop is swamped with projects that I don't have time to make my own zero clearance insert for my new saw. Haven't texted fit yet, its to cold out there!

Fits my old jobsite saw perfectly - lets me rips thin pieces without them falling down beside the blade.

Good quality; however, dimensions were not clear enough. It did not fit my table saw

Bought this insert for my Bosh 4100 Table saw because I am cutting Melamine to build shelves I first took the insert out and read the instructions and it seemed easy enough but I did notice the missing one crustal part which I feel is important and that is for your first cut through the zero clearance insert you MUST lower your riving knife to the lowest setting or else the saw blade will not go through the insert nicely and it could cause serious injury if you try to force it. if you look at my photo I took you will see what I'm taking about how the riving knife at its middle recommended height partially comes through the zero clearance slot you just cut. I feel like for someone who maybe does not know exactly what they are doing this could be a big safety hazard not to include these instructions. I also feel like somewhere in these instructions it should say to make 100% sure before you cut through the zero clearance insert you have the primary blade you are going to use with this insert on the table saw because every saw blade will have a different profile and different width so this zero clearance insert can only be used with this blade and at the desired position you are intending on using the insert for. Other then that, I'd buy this zero clearance insert again if I needed another for a different blade or needed one for a different angle on my table saw.

This product does work but as others have stated it does flex a bit. I don't find the flex to be severe enough be troublesome or dangerous. However I chose not to raise the saw blade to the point it reached the riving knife opening which I believe reduced the flex somewhat. I don't need full blade height for my projects so works for me.The insert fits perfectly and matches the mounting holes in the saw with the included screws. Height adjustment screws are also included and work. For the low price it's hard to complain. My suggestion to Bosch would be to beef it up with thicker plastic and charge more if necessary. Then it would be a five star.

I'm a big fan of zero clearance inserts. They really improve cutting results. This insert works well. With the Bosch TS1005 I like the leveling screws. You make the zero clearance cut in the usual way, by installing the new insert while the blade is fully stowed, below the table, and then slowly raise the blade while it's running to make the kerf in the zero clearance insert. Initial installation can be done in five minutes, including any fussing with the leveling screws so they are perfect for your table. This insert is plastic. While I might prefer a metal insert there would be no good way to cut the custom kerf. The plastic insert works fine. Plus, who wants a steel insert that virtually touches your whirling super-sharp woodworking blade? This is not a part of the saw that should ever need to bear great weight. The plastic insert is adequate. Two "cons" with this insert, although they don't interfere with giving 5 stars:1. You MUST change out this zero clearance insert for the standard insert whenever cutting a bevel. This ONLY works when the angle between the blade and the table is 90 degrees.2. More sawdust will remain on top of the saw. The zero clearance kerf defeats half of the dust collection capability designed into this saw (when used with a vacuum). That's not a problem if you have above-the-saw dust collection--good for you!-- but that's not common. This zero clearance insert is an inexpensive way to improve performance of the . It might make a great gift for a birthday, Fathers Day, Christmas or Hanukkah. Or just one of those great gifts to self because it makes a good saw just a little better.

As many reviewers mentioned, this is essentially a piece of reinforced thin plastic. However, I just put it on my Bosch 4100 and I am very happy with the installation. There are some key features of this thing which are important:1) Yes, it flexes. and would be very difficult to get exactly level.... However there is ribbing along the length so it doesn't really affect the position of the kerf for the saw for a zero clearance insert. If you have nothing else, the price point of this thing is really good for the safety it offers. I'm planning on keeping a blank in my kit just in case I need it.2) There are 4 screws which allow you to screw the assembly down to the 4100. This is neat and as I make zero clearance inserts out of wood, I'll reuse that idea since I think it enhances safety. This gets 5 stars only because you get what you pay for. You can pay a lot more for an insert, but if you are looking for something to get by with while you make some of your own, this is very good. Is this the "perfect" insert assembly. The answer is no; however, it is very effective for the price point and features. However ... the blade comes up through very thin plastic. This may not a "put it on and let it be there for 15 years" piece.
