Specifications:

TOT=Total Hours of operation, that is Total Time, once the engine is working, then the positive timing will start, for example, if the engine has been working for one hour, then this meter TOT interface will show 1.0. Cannot be reset to zero.

JOB=Hours of operation since the timer was reset, that is JOB TIMER, this is the work time, generally also positive time, it can be reset to zero.

SVC: Countdown SVC is Service, is the maintenance countdown, the general default settings, such as 50 hours, 20 hours or 100 hours, and then it will countdown, 100 hours later, it will have a signal to come in, and flashing tips, means that the maintenance should go to change the oil, maintenance time is up.

The directions didn’t show how to loop the wire through the unit. Wasn’t feeling well, in my own defense, but should have thought of this. Was thinking it needed actual conductivity to operate with the included wire and clamp but it doesn’t. Was super accurate on several mowers I tested it on with clamp on spark plug wire. Have not tried it without yet. 5 stars with better directions. Exactly what I needed for small engine repair and idle set

I needed a tach in order to set the throttle/governor/idle on my 25HP Briggs & Stratton after replacing the carb. I'm so old school, set the throttle and adjust the governor and let it go, but NO.... then twin cylinders are totally different that what I expected. Not only do you need a tach, you can't set it correctly without one.I was a little skeptical of the clamp, but it worked perfectly. I didn't have to change the settings. I was so impressed, I went ahead and mounted it on the dash.
