I haven't had a chance to use it in any wide-use application just yet, but just unpacking and inspecting it, I can see the quality that was put into this wrench. The wrench has 72 teeth allowing for a precise motion. It also has a wide application range of 10 to 170 Pound-Feet. It comes in a convenient carry case. From an asthetic perspective, I love the red powder coated accents on the wrench.

Good enough for such money. Unfortunately I don't have another tool to compare small torque but 5Nm is pretty accurate with my expensive 1/4 Gearwrench ratchet.

In addition to being the snazziest looking tool in my garage, it has saved me lots of time being able to perform tire rotations for our 3 vehicles at home. The required torque for the lug nuts on our vehicles ranges between 103 and 150 ft-lbs. This tool has also been useful for smaller bolt torques during vehicle maintenance like the 30 ft-lb torques on my car's alternator bolts.I haven't performed any testing to see how accurate it is but the torques seem to click under appropriate pressure based on my experience over the years. The tool comes with a very nice hard plastic case for worry free storage and transport. This is nice because I have to keep it stored in spaces with other heavy tools since it's too long to fit in the toolbox that houses my standard-sized wrenches. No issues adjusting the torque setting or reading the dials. It doesn't at all feel cheap or tinky in any aspect. This wrench has a great range and has handled everything I've thrown at it so far.

I got the 1/2" torque wrench, 10-175 ft lbs, currently unavailable. I have a full set of generics from other makers, and this is the best of the lot.The best case (tabs won't eventually crack and break off). The best printing (the ONLY one that had range printed on it!). Otherwise, very similar to what you'll find elsewhere (they all seem to go with red/black color schemes).Very good range for an all-in-one wrench, though I wouldn't want to rely on the 10-50' range... Better getting a 3/8 for that. Adjusting is fine, but I just wish the red unlock button wouldn't spring back up. You need to hold it down with one hand while you rotate using the other. Annoying.Tested against my 50-250 ft lbs tekton wrench, and it was accurate at 100 ft lbs (for wheel lugs). Always remember to zero out (so 10 ft lbs for this) when storing!

The torque wrench is surprisingly handsome and very easy to use. I appreciate that it has a case and is well protected. As a torque wrench, it should be more than just a tool, I look at it as more of an instrument (not musical) and should be cared for.The spring loaded adjustment lock, slides easily allowing for the tool to me set to the desired torque, measurements are in both foot pounds and newton meters.Handle feels good in the hand and it utilizes a push button release for the socket. Nothing worse than trying to remove a socket with greasy hands, this is a simple push and the socket basically drops off.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars... not sure how accurate it is at lower torque setting. I tested it on something I knew was torqued to 22 ft-lbs and this torque wrench wanted to keep tightening it.I did a similar test at 58 ft-lbs (using a Snap-On digital torque wrench that was recently calibrated by Snap-On) and this torque wrench barely tightened before clicking... I understood that to be it was as accurate as the Snap-On at 58ft-lbs.I like the tool and am happy to have a torque wrench that can handle 170 ft-lbs, it fills a void that my other torque wrench doesn't cover.

This review is of a 1/2" drive ratchet head, click-type torque wrench. The wrench is laser engraved with the brand name "SUERCUP " on the handle. It is designed to operate from 10 to 170 Pound-Feet (Lb-Ft) of torque (Metric equivalent: 13.6 – 230.5 Newton-meter (Nm)). The wrench was provided in a custom, blow-molded HDPE case that is beautifully fitted to the wrench. The case incorporates a self-hinge into its design along with two over-center latch mechanisms. The brand name is incorporated into top of the case in a raised letter and color highlighted design. This torque wrench is built on a very smooth 72-tooth ratchet head assembly with a 5° swing arc. This provides for a reasonably small motion being able to advance the progress even in tight quarters. The ratchet head design includes a very smooth working, quick release pushbutton design. The Amazon page indicates that the wrench has a powder coat finish. The powder coat finish is black and was found to be very well executed. The tool does have a red-anodized locking ring and a red-anodized end cap.The wrench has an all-metal handle design for long-term durability. The rotatable Adjustment Handle that one uses to set the desired torque value, is made of aluminum with a beautifully machined square-cut knurled pattern and two rings of longitudinal machined slots for great grip potential and a smooth, black, powder coated finish to prevent corrosion. The wrench is 16” long from the center of the socket attachment point to the end of the handle’s red-anodized end cap.The wrench is set for the desired torque by pulling the red-anodized ring toward the rotatable handle and then rotating the handle to the desired torque value in the laser-etched scale on the wrench handle. Note that the wrench has the SAE torque values (Lb-Ft) laser-etched on one side of the wrench handle and the Metric torque values (Nm) laser-etched on the other side of the handle. When the desired torque value is reached, the red-anodized ring is released and the value selected will be locked into the wrench. The wrench may now be used to set the desired torque for the fastener in question. When the wrench is used to apply torque to the fastener, and the torque value is reached, the wrench will audibly "Click" and the "Click" will be felt in the wrench handle. Once the "Click" is heard and felt, STOP, and do not apply any more force to the wrench; The desired torque value has been set. Once all the desired torque values have been set, be sure to return the wrench setting to its resting value (10.0 Lb-Ft) by reversing the torque setting process. Never leave the torque wrench set to a value other than its minimum value for storage. The manufacturer claims a ±3% accuracy (in the clockwise direction) and further, provides an "Inspection Certificate" for the wrench which documents the manufacturer’s testing of this wrench. The manufacturer's “Inspection Certificate” provides three individual test points for the wrench (34, 102, and 170 Lb-feet) and then provides the values obtained for three different iterations of these tests. No results exceeded the specifications at any of the test points. The "Inspection Certificate " provided cites a torque wrench Serial Number (S240600150) for which the Calibration Testing Process was performed. That number matches the serial number that is laser engraved on the tool received.I tested the wrench versus a 1/2 Inch Snap-On dial-type torque wrench that exceeded the operable range of this wrench and, within my ability to read my Snap-On wrench, this wrench was more or less accurate, but I cannot guarantee that it met the 3% accuracy claim. This product seems to be a very well-made tool of superior quality. The finish of the tool was near perfect and the tool is beautiful. The wrench is Serial Numbered and is supplied with a Serial Number matching "Inspection Certificate." The “Inspection Certificate” documents the manufacturer’s verification that the tool meets or exceeds the stated quality specification (±3% in the clockwise direction). The tool is supplied in a very nicely fitted case to protect the tool. The tool is supplied with a well written (but short) “User Manual” that is supplied in five different languages. If there is one area of improvement the manufacturer could make with this product, it is this: The product case could be manufactured in two pieces with the true hinge mechanism instead of the current one-piece manufacturing technique with a “Self-Hinge” arrangement. A true hinge would make the case last as long as the tool itself and thus provide protection for the tool throughout its entire life. To the Manufacturer I say, “Congratulations on making a beautiful and well-made tool.”
