So far so good, install was easy as taking out 6 screws. Digital display is an upgrade to the original and had replacement parts for everything except the auger and smoke fan. Had plans on replacing the display and selling it but had a change of heart after install.

Purchased this after my lemon of a Pit Boss grill decided to pack it up less than a year from purchase. Installation was a breeze, but I opted to leave all current sensor hardware because it was literally new.Pros:Lights quicker than originallyHas programs for feed rates- I'm assuming different grills/smokersEverything is as good as, or better than OEM.Messed up temp controls allow much greater low temp control- better for my BBQCons:Grill is 100*f off. 250* on the screen is 150* in the grill. Again, on stock Pit Boss electronics. I've not tried the supplied- this may fix that-Controller calls for heat and expects it much more aggressively. It will feed at 100% until it sees temps it expects. This causes a run away when all those pellets ignite. Seems to spike my grill about 200+* when it happens. Plan accordingly.Overall, I've smoked about 100# of various meats and beasts with this controller, and would recommend.

Works but the temperature fluctuates to extremes which means that you have to constantly watch it and when it goes to the highest setting it doesn't feel hot enough..Mine might be a fluke but with my experience I can't recommend it...

I installed this in my Pitboss Austin XL pellet smoker. A previous flareup/overheat toasted the previous controller (it would randomly shut off and the display was not visible). This was easy to install and solved all my issues. The Smoker is back in business and works like new again! Took me about 45 minutes to install as I did a thorough cleaning at the same time. Without the cleaning, it probably would have taken about 20 minutes to remove old and install new.

I do not leave bad reviews, but this is the worst purchase I have ever made from Amazon. The main controller will cut on and off but that is as far as it goes. I started it up and watched for a while and the temp would never stabilize. I walked away for 15 min and it got out of control and my pit boss was on fire. It reads the temperature properly just will not regulate.

Replaced controller and temp probes, now I have a almost new pit boss smoker, installed easy!
