I've been using this in my well house to keep it from freezing up. After 7 years the temp probe has gone out, and I have NO complaints about how long it has lasted. Just ordered a replacement probe for 8 bucks and I'm good to go for another 7 years (I hope).

I used to use the dial heat controller that came with the germination mats. I wanted a more control on the temperature. The Digiten controller has an easy to read digital read-out. It also allows you to set a heating range (i.e., 70-80 degrees), which is easier to control. For those reviewers who say that the programming is not clear, they either can't or didn't read the instructions.

This piece of equipment works like a charm once you read and understand all of the instructions. I recommend that anyone play with it before you have to use it. This piece of equipment is regulating my deep freezer perfectly for my beer fermentation process.

I got this after my expensive sous-vide unit failed twice under warranty. None of the electronics were sealed, so steam would condense inside. Ugh!This combined with a 1500W immersion heater made a great replacement. It did a wonderful job at bringing the water to temp and keeping it there. The ribs turned out perfect. My only issue is getting the temperature to switch from C to F. The instructions are clear, but it just didn't take on the first couple tries. No big deal, but a tad annoying.

My little office which is LOADED with heat producing electronics, and for this reason I installed a 5,000 BTU window unit. Most window units use a mechanical thermostat with a +/- 5 F adjustment control range. UNACCEPTABLE! THIS device powers the window unit with such accuracy, that the temperature swing is +/- 0.5 (ONE HALF DEGREE Fahrenheit!), regardless of the heat load. EXTREMELY GOOD PRODUCT AND VALUE. Setting it up is a bit tiresome, but it is WORTHWHILE

Well, THIS was a disappointment.During covid lockdown, I've used a spare chest freezer for refrigerator overflow, with a different brand of external thermostat controller; but it would only get down to about 40.5F and I wanted it down around 35F. So I bought this one, which in theory had a far wider range.Well, it didn't work. The included instructions said to simply set the temperature range and it'd go into cooling mode. Despite doing this repeatedly for over an hour, it never did. Just a faulty product for that use. Also, when checking youtube for vids of others using it, I found a disquieting piece of a guy seeming to document safety issues, including what he purported to demonstrate was the ground shorted to one of the hot wires. This, combined with some fo the 1-star reviews here which mention melted extension cords and shocks, seemed pretty credible, though make up your own mind... can search using this model number on yt and see what you find. But I held off on returning it pending communications with the seller, who I'd reached out to. Unfortunately, I just heard back and the seller, rather than offering clear alternate instructions or an immediate replacement with a functioning unit, asked ME to send them readings or photos of it not working, which doesn't make sense if they'd read what I said, as you just have. That is, if it won't go INTO cooling mode but always stays in heating mode, how am I supposed to take pictures of that? Just wasting more of my time.So this product gets a poor review from a pretty high-rated reviewer, and I hope it's a help to other buyers. Also I'll note that back when I was in VINE I got a wireless temp controller of this same brand and it worked for awhile and then failed without warning causing a freezer of food to go bad. It looked like the actual manufacturer of the units was different so I took a chance on this one, but at this point I'll avoid the DIGITEN brand entirely.

Application is to maintain a freezer full of water at 60°f. Works very well, maintains the temp with ~1°f span high to low.Checked the calibration against a known sensor and had to calibrate it by 1.4°, which was easy. Set up was easy, good length on the sensor lead, nice clear display.Excellent all around.

Set up to control the ventilation fan in my greenhouse. Initially, I had the cut-on and the cut-off temp too close (within one-degree Fahrenheit). This caused the fan to cycle on and off too often. Set your cut-on and cut-off temps at least 5 degrees apart. Also, place the remote temp sensor at the level your plants will be in the greenhouse. Mounting the sensor high in the greenhouse will cause the fan to run more than normal (heat rises and the top of my greenhouse is 10 degrees warmer than the benches the plants sit on). Overall, this is unit is accurate, tough and convenient.

Perfect so far, after about a month of operation. I like the probe, which can be unplugged from the unit if it fails (unlike the major competitor's model). Also the hook on the top is very strong (I owned the competitor's model and it ended up in the garbage, because the probe failed and the hook at the top broke).

This seems to be a very good controller at a decent price. I use it for cooling. The "deadband" can be set as minimal as you want. I found it very easy to use without reading the manual...which was a bit confusing actually. I knocked off one star cause in normal running mode, the screen goes blank,..you have to quickpress the set button to get a reading. This controller is at least as good as Inkbird controllers,(which are also very good) but probably a little more user friendly.

Retains it's settings when the power goes out ! Program what temperature you want it kick in, and, kick out. Use heat mode if the kick in temp is lower than the kick out. (if you want it to come on at 0C and kick out at 5C, use heat mode). Use cool mode if you want it to kick in at a higher temp and kick out at a lower temp, say ON at 30C and OFF at 25C.I'm using it in heat mode for freeze protection, I have a small heater plugged into it. It is programmed to kick in at 2C and kick out at 5C... works PERFECT and retains it's settings even if the ower goes out. Again, super EASY to figure out how to program it.I could NOT be happier with this gadget, and might buy another one just because it's so great and so simple. Love it.
