I connected this with a SCART to HDMI cable to transfer VHS videos to my computer. After downloading OBS for free, I set up my recording preferences. When I fired up OBS, it immediately detected thedevice without requiring drivers—it simply worked flawlessly. While I'm aware that devices from DIGITNOW and others may offer additional features, I specifically needed a straightforward capture device for OBS, and this one fulfills all my requirements at a more reasonable price.

Very good portable storage for the money. Great to keep on hand for the odd, unexpected use.

Great product and the reason I gave it a 4 star ratingis the enclosed instructions are missing a couple ofsteps in the installation. I was communicating withthe seller but haven't heard from them for a weekor so. I finally found a tutorial on YouTube with theproper installation instructions and got it to working.

Completely new tech (capture card) for me. But after a couple of days, here is what I learnt. It's natively recognised by Windows and Raspberry pi. No drivers needed. Works out the box. Tested with VLC on Windows and Hyperion on Raspberry Pi.Supports YUYV or MJPG (Both these codecs are new to me, I believe YUYV is what you'd call "raw" video). But latency. I couldn't get consistent results, more than likely my testing apparatus/method. For example, in Windows, I'd get way better latency after killing DWM (I think this is a long standing issue with my laptop). However, best case, from a 1080p source the best I got was 100ms capturing 640*480 YUYV. Which isn't bad for a £10 device. Capturing MJPG at 1080p was around 150-250ms. Again, not bad. I'm quite surprised really as I'd have thought the device would have to do some conversions depending on the source/destination resolution/codec, but here we are. Device does get warm but nothing I'd worry about.Quality when capturing 1080p source/destination using VLC/MJPG seems about as clear as the source. Audio, no comment, didn't test it. Will probably buy another one as a general use KVM type use.Probably worth checking the supported resolutions if it matters to you, it does capture MJPG1080p at 60fps, but YUYV tapers of significantly from 5fps at 1080 down to 30fps at 640. My understanding is that this is a limitation of USB 2.0.

The device worked right off the box. Sound quality was great. The blue light was too bright. I had to cover it with duct seal. Nice that you can convert digital to analog.

Totalmente recomendado.

like: It does work - outputs both picture and sound from a HDMI port on a camera (if the camera has a microphone).dislike: Low quality output -standard definition at best with zoom.Opinion - better than nothing and allows you to use digicam with zoom lens but not as good a picture cheap HD webcam can give you.
