Important Note:
1): Not Bi-directional
- The adapter is used to connect the laptop or computer with DisplayPort output, the monitor with DVI input. It could not work in the opposite direction.
2): Not the DisplayPort to DVI Dual Link Solution:
- The DisplayPort to DVI adapter is single link adapter, the maximum resolution is up to 1920*1200@60Hz, if you are looking for the DisplayPort to DVI dual link solution, which could achieve 2560*1600@60Hz resolution, please see the following comparision table.
3): Not the USB to DVI Solution:
- It's the DisplayPort cord instead of USB cord, if you are looking for the USB to DVI solution, please see the following comparision table. Using the USB to HDMI solution with HDMI-DVI cable, it will achieve the USB to DVI solution.

Works great but doesn't have the locking display port connector. This doesn't matter to me as it's on the back of a PC that doesn't move . You wouldn't want to have it hanging vertically from the back of a monitor probably.

Deutsche Rezension:Nutze einen alten Samsung SyncMaster 2343BW an einem Firmen-Notebook und am Privat-PC als Zweitbildschirm. Da der alte Monitor nur eine DVI-Schnittstelle hat und die anderen Geräte (fast) nur noch DisplayPort, musste eine Lösung her. DVI-Kabel war bereits vorhanden, also wurde dieser Adapter ausprobiert. Und was soll ich sagen, es klappt seit Monaten verlässlich. Positiv erwähnen möchte ich noch, dass mein SyncMaster eine Auflösung von 2048x1152 Pixeln hat. Lt. Anzeigeeinstellungen kommunizieren die Geräte mit dem Monitor mit 59 Hz und 8-Bit. Damit kann ich die volle Auflösung und die Aktualisierungsrate des Monitors, und nicht nur 1080P, erreichen.************************************************************************************************************************English review:I have an old Samsung SyncMaster 2343BW on a company notebook and on my home PC as a second monitor. Since the old monitor only has a DVI interface and the other devices (almost) only DisplayPort, a solution was needed. A DVI cable was already available, so this adapter was tested. And guess what, it is working reliably for months now. Another positive thing I would like to mention is that my SyncMaster has a resolution of 2048x1152 pixels. According to the display settings, the devices communicate with the display at 59 Hz and 8 bits. This means that I have the full resolution and refresh rate of the display and not just 1080P.
