Think of these as cutely folded disposable grocery bags. They'll keep you dry momentarily in a freak downpour and are easy to bring along just in case. Probably not so good for your month long trek in the amazon rainforest.Keep some in the glove box for emergencies

I already keep some pre-packaged rain ponchos with me in my everyday carry bags in case I get caught in the rain, but those take up a fair amount of space. Plus, those packages are about two inches taller and wider, so when I saw how small these are, I was instantly interested. These aren’t as tall or as wide, but they are thicker. In fact, the product photos don’t adequately show how thick these packages are. All of the packs shown in the images appear somewhat flat, almost like a card. Instead, these are about as thick as a power adapter.So I suppose it’s still smaller than the packaged ponchos I already have, but the difference isn’t as exciting now and the higher cost isn’t as appealing. The packages do look well-designed, though, compared to the transparent plastic of my other raincoats.

Very compact, ideal for traveling. Plastic is thin but protects from the rain. Only issue is the size, my husband used it and the sleeves covered only 1/3 of his arms. Similar for his legs. He is 6'1".
