This Solar Powered Wooden Puzzle is a fantastic hands-on project that is both fun and educational. The assembly process wasn’t difficult at all, and I really enjoyed putting it together. The wooden pieces are well-cut and fit nicely without any major issues. It’s an engaging activity that encourages problem-solving and patience while providing a great introduction to solar energy and mechanical movement. The fact that this is a STEM kit makes it even better for anyone interested in learning about renewable energy in a fun and interactive way.One of the best features of this kit is the rotating solar-powered satellite. Once assembled, it starts moving when exposed to direct sunlight, which is such a satisfying moment to see after putting everything together. It’s a great way to demonstrate how solar panels convert sunlight into energy, making it a valuable learning tool for both kids and adults. The movement adds an extra layer of excitement, making this more than just a static puzzle; it’s a working model that brings science to life!I absolutely love this wooden puzzle kit and highly recommend it. The combination of an easy-to-assemble design, engaging STEM learning, and the cute rotating satellite makes it a perfect gift for anyone who enjoys building projects or learning about solar power. It’s well-crafted, fun to put together, and a great mix of education and entertainment. A fantastic kit that is both rewarding and enjoyable from start to finish!

We're a STEM-loving family and always encourage hands-on learning through DIY projects and science-related activities. We got this with the intention of letting our son build it on his own, and he had no trouble assembling it without any help. The solar panel and motor work well, but it does require direct sunlight to function—artificial or indirect light won’t activate the motor. When properly positioned in the sun, the satellite spins at an impressive speed. It’s a fantastic activity for kids and really fun to watch in action!

This "toy" looks like a lot of fun for me, but it was difficult to get my 4.7. and 9 year old nieces interested. I should say that the two youngest are the most likely to enjoy this kind of toy. I just think it might be too mature for them and their attention spans. If I hadn't gotten it for them, I would have just put the thing together myself. Its so cool, and actually works as a solar receiving satelite dish! I'm going to hold onto it for a year or so and try again with them. If only the 9 year old were interested in this kind of thing (she's more into sports and being outside). This is a fantastic "toy" well priced and manageable, but make sure that your kid is at least 8 and already interested in science.

The packaging is too weird to make this giftable in my opinion, but this is a fun toy nonetheless. It came in a plain brown box with no real label saying what it was. I got this for a christmans gift and had to write wha it was on the outside myself. My kid loved it though and was able to build it with the instructions with no problem at all.
