I bought this after I got out of the hospital from having a baby. It was smaller than I anticipated, (I recommend looking at the measurements before buying, I was just looking for something to relieve pressure and did not check) still worked in helping heal. Foam is firm and supportive.

For anyone needed this type of product, it is PERFECT. It's a nice size, not horribly large nor uncomfortably small. It's firm enough to "suspend" you while still being soft enough to be comfortable. I've got the fancy sit cushion that is too soft to do you any good. I've got one of those little plastic inflatable rings that stuck to you when you stand up, lose air frequently, and if you happen to need to use it kinda in public (ie: restaurant), you don't feel like you're carrying your blankey like a little kid. AND, the price is right!

This pillow was super hard, not at all what I would have expected for memory foam! I need it for help with painful hemorrhoids and the cut-out in the middle was quite small, even for a small person like myself. (I am 5' 3" and weigh 114 lbs.) The cut-out is less than 4 inches wide! Just not wide enough to allow my butt to hang free! I wish they would have put the dimension of the cut-out in the description. I sent it back and have ordered another type which has a bigger opening and is made of foam pieces that should be much softer.
