This product is being used at a freshwater lake. High quality sturdy rubber bumpers that are not the inflatable type. They are firm but have plenty of cushion to protect my new tritoon at both my boathouse and dock. They are very durable and will last many years. This is a very impressive product. They are 6 feet in length only but can be cut into smaller lengths. I paid the boathouse/boat lift company to install all the bumpers , cleats, pulls, cradle lift. I definitely recommend this product. I wish they made corner bumpers made out of the same non-inflatable material and structural design. 5 stars 🌟

My husband cut these in half and screwed them inside our boat pier. Nice, sturdy bumpers.

Loved the product. Would suggest using self stating galvanized screws. I found some with washers at home depot.

We ordered four, initially, because we were only interested in taking care of our boat on a brand new dock that we had built to replace the old dock. Once we got the 4 bumpers in, I installed them and found that doing required me to use Some dock lines to secure it tightly to the piling while I was using the stainless steel screws and eyelets that I bought separately to attach them To the piling. I would recommend a 2 person job here but since my better half was not as strong as I am, I ended up figuring out a way to do it myself. I do also recommend that you put predrilled holes into the side wings that attach to the piling. I would recommend a 4 to 5" spread between each hole, down each side. When you go to install the bumper, you want to initially secure it with 2 screws on each side at the very top. Once you've done this, if you are using 2 people, the other person can now let go and you can continue filling in the holes with the stainless steel screws and eyelets that you can also buy here. If you are doing the job alone, as I am, you can also let it go once you have those 4 initial screws in place. I recommend that you measure the distance that the tide will go down in comparison to your dock and how the piling measures up to your boat. In South Florida, we have something called a king tide which rises above the normal high tide approximately once or twice a month. It's important that you look at the highest and lowest tides in your area before you measure and install these bumpers in order to get the maximum protection out of them. I explained at the beginning that I initially purchased four for the installation. As things go, we have friends that bring their boat by and now we need to protect our dock even more so I ordered 4 more of these since we have 8 total pilings. I found that the investment for the additional 4 paid for itself in the protection of our brand new $40000 dock that we expect to last another, hopefully, 30 years.

I wanted this to use for my pontoon boat. I am able to use these as a guide. They’re soft enough, but also firm enough to provide the right support. The length provides adequate protection for wake changes and different boat types.

I purchased these to add some padding to my dock pilings so I mounted them vertically on the face of the pilings. I didn't really need 6 foot of padding so I cut one into 2 pieces three feet each. When installing these vertically I have one bit of advice (pun intended), and that is to drill pilot holes for the top one or two screws that you use to attach the padding to the piling. With a pilot hole drilled into the rubber I was able to push the screw into the hole and it stayed put while I got my drill/driver bit inserted into the screw head. Zip zip and the screws went right in. These bumpers appear to be solid and should last a long time. I've docked my boat against these bumpers and they work well, protecting the boat from rubbing on the dock and providing some cushion when docking the boat. I definitely recommend this product.
