Perfect for an older child’s baptism. It has lining and the and material is pretty thick so it wasn’t see through.

The material IG good quality, kind of satiny smooth. There’s a mesh liner. The problem is that the pockets are made of solid material and there are no drainage holes for water and sand. When my 7 year old wears them to the beach to boogie board, the pockets fill with sandy water. The water eventually seeps out, but the sand stays, weighing down the shorts and dragging them off his butt. He hates that. Even in the pool, they fill up and create drag when he swims. I finally had to cut the pockets out to make the shorts functional. If you’re just planning on wearing them to play near water and not for water sports, they’re totally fine.
