A+ for a product that isn't expensive but works flawlessly. Admittedly I don't take the guitars in and out of these everyday, but to have them on the wall in my rental studio ready to play is a huge plus. I have no regrets at all that I bought them. One extra thing I did was to buy a self-adhesive 1-in wide cork board strip that I glue to the wall where the body of each guitar might hit the wall, as a cushion for the instrument. Not really necessary though as it does hang far enough from the wall that in 99% of the circumstances it keeps the guitar far enough away that it doesn't touch. A+++

Very easy to install with the provided wall anchors. These appear to be very sturdy and the locking mechanism holds the guitar in place, yet removal is easy.

Unfortunately it's not compatible with both of the guitars I wanted to hang. For Fender Telecaster, the clamp is too wide, and the guitar is not secured safely. For Fender Jazz Bass, the clamp simply is not aligned. Other products allow rotating to accomodate for uneven head shapes, but not this one.

These hangers work well enough. They hold the guitar fine and release properly. They dont feel super flimsy, even though they seem to have a little play when you put some weight on them. Some of that may be due to the flip up design. They dont look horrible at all. Nothing to complain about there. They dont look as nice or feel quite as sturdy as my herculese hangers. But those are $35 each. These are far more economical, and do the job just fine. Just be careful when installing and make sure it can handle the weight before you hang a heavy guitar and walk away, but Id recommend that for any wall hanger.

Seem very sturdy. I do think the opening is a little wide for my two Strats headstocks. Makes them hang a little crooked. No way I would hang my Telecaster in them as I feel it would slip through. Hard spot as I am sure it needs to be this big for an acoustic or perhaps a Les Paul.Super easy to install although the bolts included to hold the two pieces together could be a tad longer. I really cranked down to get them close to flush. Would also like to see the nut be a locking nylon nut. You don’t want this coming apart.Personally I would like some that are not stood off from the wall as far but again they would need to be this way if you had an acoustic or a hollow body. Just something to think about.Overall I am happy with them. Will check back in after they are up for a few months. While I am a handy guy and it was a no brained that I would need better anchors to hang my prized instruments in drywall, not everyone is. For gods sake put a piece of paper in the box telling people to NOT use the provided hardware to hang in drywall!

These are a basic locking design that works perfectly. The base is stirdy and all mounting points are well made. I have no issue hanging my high end or low end guitars on these. They are on par, at least mechanically, with any of the big name wall hangers costing 4 or 5 times more. Great value. I've had them up for quite a while with no issues.

CAUTION: Do NOT use the hardware it comes with. Other than that great purchase. Exactly what I was expecting. Good quality product (nothing too extreme or fancy), some cheap plastic but still impressive. 3 pack was perfect and they hold both my acoustics and a rather heavy electric base. Worth every penny. I installed it with heavy duty screws and anchors to hold my priced possessions, you should too. Keep the hardware it comes with for other, less expensive and non-imprtant things.

I was hesitant, at first, to buy these. A lot of folds wrote that the cams don't rotate the locks correctly, or they don't rotate at all. The first one I installed worked fine. The next one I installed faster and noticed that one lock was not closing all the way. Upon careful examination I found that I had inadvertently laid out the holes for the screws slightly out of plumb. Luckily I used SB-Anchors and there was enough play to plumb the unit and the cam worked properly.I did not like the alleged anchor screws they provided. Most folds don't realize it but those are for concrete or thick plaster walls. They will eventually come loose and you don't want that happening to your instruments. The solution is the appropriate sheetrock fastener, I call them SB-Anchors but I'm not sure what they are really called. They are metal, are tapped into the wall like the plastic ones, but when you turn the screw the metal sheathing folds like and accordion and grabs the wall board.Another issue I found that effects the locks is the weight of the instrument. I hang acoustic guitars, banjos and ukuleles on mine. Some of the instruments aren't heavy enough to push the cam down so the lock will rotate into place. It would also be nice if they were adjustable or came with an insert for smaller headstock instruments.

As I’ve gotten older, I realize that convenience matters. For just about everything. But specifically for playing guitar. In the past, I placed my guitars safely in cases or gig bags, and then stowed them away in a closet until I had the overwhelming urge to pull them out and noodle. Of course, that was a problem. I can sum that problem up with an old truism: “Out of sight, out of mind.” Turns out I didn’t pull them out much. Consequently, I didn’t get much better, even after some 30 years of owning guitars. On a whim, I ordered a 4-pack of cheap guitar hangers off Amazon (Huhu brand) and hung them in my bonus room. Then I hung my 4 favorite guitars. Immediately, I found myself playing guitar every day. Just to be clear about how much of a dramatic change this was--It’s quite possible that, in the past, I’d gone entire years without picking up a six-string, and now I was playing every single day!Additionally, guitars are great decor. They made my man-cave far more manly, let me tell you! Who needs overpriced art work when you can just adorn your walls with a sunburst Fender Telecaster instead? So you may be wondering when I’m going to get around to talking about the Donner Guitar Hangers. That starts now. You see, I still had three guitars to hang, and while I liked the Huhu hangers, I wasn’t a big fan of their rubbery gasket pieces that were designed to keep the guitars from accidentally falling off. They worked, but seemed a bit too flimsy. So I noticed that Donner offered an auto locking version. Since I was already a fan of Donner products, I figured I’d give them a shot. They’re great. I installed them easily, using nothing more than a phillips head screwdriver and a magnetic stud finder. Everything else (bolts, screws, and nuts) comes with the hangers. In less than five minutes, I had all three mounted. The auto-locking feature is a clever design. As you place the guitar in the holder, its weight pulls down and activates the auto-locks, which tip up like flippers on a pinball machine, holding the guitar firmly in place.Well done, Donner!
