Wow!! Such a simple concept and yet a total lifesaver!! We have an open deck, so there is no covering to protect our doorbell. We honestly didn't think this would last as long as what it would take us to even stick it on the side of the house, but thought oh well, we'll give it a try. Were we wrong!!! We attached to our vinyl siding, using the original adhesive that came with it. This thing has protected our doorbell this entire summer, even through some severe storms/torrential rains/high winds. Totally worth it!! We would absolutely buy this again!!!

I used the housing for my push button doorbell which was suitable for my Honeywell Portable Wireless doorbell. It was easy enough to do and it looks great with added protection during inclement weather.

I used the 2 way tape, it holds well, happy with the size ( my preference)

I got this door bell button protective cover to test & try.The clear plexiglass is shaped perfectly & has two pre-drilled holes that my existing wireless doorbell button fits within and to perfectly.I recommend this protective cover.

We had an old wireless doorbell on our house which I removed in disgust because it was rusted and worn by the weather. We have no porch or covering over the doorbell and it's exposed to rain and heavy winds. I put off getting a doorbell for this location for way too long because I didn't want to install another one just to have it destroyed. When I found this attractive doorbell cover, I finally determined that it was time to put a new wireless doorbell up. Chances are that it won't exactly fit your doorbell; in my case, I wish that the cover was lower. It does, however, fit a wide variety of doorbells up to about 2 3/4" wide. Since there aren't many standards for doorbells, that's probably about as good as you're going to get unless you look for a cover specific to a popular doorbell like a Ring. Expensive and popular my doorbell is not. In case you're wondering, the doorbell comes with a sticker that goes in the inset arch on the front. It says something in Chinese (?) and then in smaller words below, in English, something about "Please ring the doorbell" with a little picture of a ringing bell. I tried putting the sticker on, but for some reason they made the poor choice of printing the sticker on white, laminated paper. It looked so out-of-place on the clear acrylic that I immediately removed it and I just have an arch design inset on the front of the acrylic. In any case, I question how long a paper sticker would have lasted in the elements even if it were laminated. The only openings on this are the two screw holes in the back and the large bottom opening so I am hopeful that it will do a good job keeping rain out and extending the life of the doorbell. When the weather's warmer, I think I might carefully add a line of silicone caulk along the top and sides to further waterproof the doorbell. One more thing to note about this protective cover. The screw holes matched up with the holes in my new doorbell. They did not match up with the holes that had been drilled in the mortar for my previous doorbell about 25 years ago. The cover does include an adhesive sheet so that you may not need to screw in the doorbell, but for older installations you may have trouble with the placement of the screw holes. My solution was to attach my new doorbell to the cover with an adhesive strip that came with the doorbell, use two of the adhesive strips that came with this product to attach the cover to the wall, and screw in only the top screw for good measure. I really didn't feel like drilling through the mortar in a third spot. At some point I need to fill in the bottom hole in the wall. Overall, I think this is a great product that should help your doorbell to stay dry. I also think the style of it is very nice. While not all doorbells would fit in this, my generic, modern doorbell does. I'm happy to give this 5 stars (meaning I would be happy to recommend this product to others).
