Appears to be made of steel and a decent gauge, at that. Finish work looks good. I haven't attached it to my door yet, so time will tell how the finish holds up, but so far I feel like I got a good product and a good price.

The kick plates made by this company come in hard to get sizes. They are rock solid and nice looking. One of the 2 plates unfortunately arrived with a bend, but after sending an email they send me a replacement.
