The cable groove is not cut deep enough on the big end of the part. When you install the part with cable in the vehicle the cable binds up and will not work. I had to grind the groove a little deeper, then it worked fine. A small adjustment to the machining process is all that is needed to correct this issue.

Loved everything except had to drill them out bigger to slide over the cable. After that they worked great.

Church van rear doors stopped opening. Decided to take the panels off and see if I could fix them. After seeing the plastic was disintegrating, I looked at new cables.....wow those aren't cheap! I found these end replacements and thought why not give them a try for the price. Didn't take long to replace two rear doors and one side door with these (someone had replaced the main side door with new cables before my time). If you have any mechanical skills these are relatively simple to install. Hardest part is trying to get the back seat out of the way to take the rear door panel off to get the door open!

I used these on the lower back door of a Ford Excursion. They work great but I would recommend removing the cable and replacing both ends. Buy these if you have busted plastic ends on your cable

Used these the first time for a 99 F-150 that had a failed DIY repair using zip ties to try to rig the cables into place with tension on them. These parts are cheap enough that anyone attempting to repair a rear door latch should just go all in and replace everything at once as soon as the first OEM plastic connector fails. This is now going to be a standard practice for me with any of these trucks.

Thought about the best way to solve our door problem. My husband suggested we check Amazon for door latch replacement. Great price! We put them and it only took a few hours! Happy with results! No more stuck door problem! Amazon solved our problem for a great price! Highly Suggest!

The ends themselves are easy to install once you get the cable out of the door which is the hardest part. To get the end to push on the cable, I did use a file to knock off some of the roughness of the plastic and then had to use some vice grips and small hammer to tap the end all the way onto the cable but overall very pleased with these.
