The Ring doorbell shows its plugged in to a charger but it is failing to charge or maintain the existing battery level. We removed the battery from the camera and charged it externally. That did not help. It kinda worked the first month but after that continued to get worse. Absolute Garbage!!

My mother lives in an apartment and needed some way of dealing with the constant need to charge her ring since there is lots of foot traffic. This helped with the problem easily. Plugged it up to the closest outlet to the door. Ran the line across the wall and out the door to her device that was attached to the door. Wire never gets in the way. No drilling was even necessary.

I didn't have an existing hard wired door. So I ran the wire behind the siding trim and along baseboard inside wire is not visible. I did shim the doorbell so the wires didn't get smashed instead of drilling a hole in the trim

I ended up buying this unit as I was struggling with 2 doorbell cams on one transformer. One of the 2 doorbell cameras would lose signal at random times. Once this was installed the trouble doorbell cam worked almost flawlessly. I'd recommend.

It was easy to install. That was no problem. But after 4-5 months I was getting low battery on the ring camera app. I tested the electricity coming from where it was plugged into and that was fine. I tested the electricity on the two wires and there was nothing. So the transformer failed. Of course it was after the warrantee. I bought a "Ring" transformer and installed that and keeping my fingers crossed.Seller actually sent me a knew transformer which was greatly appreciated since the failure was discovered after the warrantee. So customer service has been great! Hopefully this one will last a long time.

I purchased this at the end of December and installed it as soon as it came because I was very tired of charging my 1st Generation Ring Video Doorbell. It didn't work. I was still having to charge my doorbell and it was bothering me. I drilled a hole in my house for this. I asked a question about why the battery was still depleting and the seller said the battery shouldn't be charging but it should be hardwired. Mine wasn't getting the connection to be hardwired. I checked and was getting power but still nothing on the doorbell.SO to fix this problem I thought it might be the mount that is bad. I ordered a Spare Parts kit for $2, traded out the mount and sure enough. My doorbell is now hardwired. Worth every penny.Hope this helps if you are having similar problems. It can be fixed!

Doesn’t work with Ring doorbell 4! I thought this was going to work but now I’m I lost that money and had to buy a different one!
