Used on a 1970s 300 straight 6. I had to make a new TDC mark, due to it being in the wrong spot.

Well worth the money. I started out thinking my ford 300 4.9 needed a new distributor. Then a new gearhead box, power steering pump, water pump, starter, head rebuilt, carb rebuilt, radiator boiled out and tested, timing gears, electronic ignition control box, egr valve, battery, cables, oil sending unit. Basically everything under the hood needed replacing. The motor had 44,000 original miles and had been in a barn for at least 20 years. The point to all of this is we found hardly a single bolt anywhere including the valves, couple of the head bolts that were torqued to specs because the rubber/plastic in the harmonic balancer had dry rotted and cracked and actually come out and was causing so much vibration it was vibrating the bolts loose. Took it all the way down to the block and checked the torque on the rod bolts and main bolts.. they were still spec. CHECK YOUR HARMONIC BALANCER EVERY FEW YEARS FOR AGING.It's so much cheaper and easier.3344066258
