This manifold fitted well was good quality and included everything needed all parts gaskets etc the only reason why not a 5 star rating was the noticeable power loss when compared to the stock manifold which should be noted was not a ford PI intake the car works perfectly if you don't mind loosing a little power it will serve you well.

I'm not one to post reviews, much less to give positive feedback. That being said, this was one of the best automotive buys I made. Although the plastic ducting and light gaskets may seem to leave a little to be desired, I can assure you that this manifold is hands-down one of the best plastic manifolds you can buy for the ford 4.6 SOHC. My 2003 Crown Victoria developed a coolant leak at the thermostat crossover, necessitating the replacement of the manifold, which would have cost me $750 for my mechanic to replace. For $150 and four hours of work, this was practically a steal. The gaskets are solid, no RTV needed, the kit includes MORE than the required amount of accessory bolts for different vehicular applications, as well as some basic tightening and installation instructions for those who haven't done an adequate amount of reasearch beforehand. The self-tapping screws were a welcome change to the easily dirtied metal set screws from the original, as well as reinforced crossover channels to ensure that ford's coolant leak shenanigans won't happen again. Note: As this intake manifold is plastic, ensure that the heater core tube adapter at the top left of the picture is treated with care. Although it doesn't seem flimsy, it IS made of plastic, so be aware to avoind a headache later on down the road. Aside from that, this intake is a must for those doing stock maintenance on a 4.6 block. It's not a racing manifold, but it gets the job done with no noticeable power loss. In fact, because the intake channels flow differently, the idle is a tad bit stronger than the stock configuration for an identical block, which speaks to the build quality of this piece. Great buy for the money.

Perfect fit for my 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis. Replaced mine because of the well known issue of the cracked thermostat housing, not a vacuum leak.I did notice a performance difference in the engine specifically on the low end of the RPM range. The car definitely has more torque off the line from a complete stop than it did before. However the low end torque gains seems to be sacrificed in the top end at speeds in excess of 100 MPH...just feels flatter, so the torque curve clearly runs out above 90. Not really an issue, for me at least. As heavy as these cars are, I prefer the low end torque I have now vs the top end previously since it is a passenger vehicle and not a race car.Fuel mileage TBD. Installation was straight forward and the component itself was well designed with built in gaskets. No need to add anything, as a matter of fact it's not a good idea as it can create issues in the long run. Make certain that the mating surfaces are absolutely clean and grease free. Brake parts cleaner is cheap and dries fast.It's a solid day of wrenching if your not used to this type of work. And for safety sake ABSOLUTELY be sure disconnect the negative terminal of the battery because you will be dealing with the fuel system.

I was a little concerned about the fit of this item as it is clearly for multiple applications. I installed it 24 hours ago and everything seems great. I followed the directions that came in the box (make sure you use a torque wrench as specified) and had zero problems. My application was a 03 Mercury Grand Marquis with the 4.6. I didn't need the extra alternator bracket provided (I was able to use the original), I did use the shim for the thermostat, and had more then enough fasteners that were provided. Highly recommended part. You can install with confidence if you follow the installation tips that come with the product. It took myself and a friend about 2.5 hours (both mechanically inclined). No special tools needed. 8-15mm wrenches/sockets, and a torque wrench in foot lbs (or inch lbs). Throttle body can be taken off the intake and set aside with fuel lines still attached. EGR can stay connected to exhaust pipe if in good shape. Fuel rails can be pushed far enough to left and right without taking fuel lines off. Happy wrenching!

The Intake Manifold, Worked Great & The Reason I Didn't Give You A Five Star Rating. Is Because Your Torque Specification Sheet, I Think Is Some What Misleading. The 16" Pound, & Then The 16' Pound, Works Great On 1 - 9. But Not For 10 & 11, That Is Your Water Neck Bolts, Looking At The Torque Sheet, When You Do The 16" Pound, Then Your Fine, But When You Tighten No. 10 To 16' Pound, That's Fine Also, But When You Tighten No. 11 To 16' Pound, Well That's Not Going To Happen, That Aluminum Water Neck Want Take That Much Pressure, So You Wind Up With A Broken Water Neck. Which I Think Is A $19.99 Part Plus tax. The 10 & 11 I Don't Think You Should Go By The Torque Sheet, Just Tighten Those 2 Down Evenly & Not To Tight, & It Will Work Fine. As Far As It Being Smaller Then The Original, Well It's Easier To Put Back On. But On The Power & Horsepower Of The Car, I Could Not Tell No Difference What So Ever. The Holes You Have To Self Tap, With The Screws They Provide No Problem, Socket & Ratchet Will Tap Them, No Need To Drill, I Was Concerned About That But No Problem At All.
