The regulator fit well and works great, but had no instructions for this application (1980 to 1991 Ford full size trucks and Bronco- - the most popular and best selling truck in the US during those years) and mentioned no where that you’d have to remove the factory rivets to make it work. I used three very short bolts and nuts during installation to allow the gear of the regulator to have clearance once installed.

Fit perfectly. Mine was rivited into the door. Check your truck first before you start. Sourcing the 1/4" rivets and a rivetier cost more than the part.
