I purchased this window regulator and motor back in June, installed it into my 4th gen Firebird that rarely gets driven and the window motor stopped working at the end of October, pulled out the regulator and motor assembly and tested everything, the motor failed so I will be replacing the motor once again after only very little use

I fought this thing into the door. 21 year professional mechanic and still fight scissor regulators that are riveted in... but the product works great when complete. Then my driver side quit...

Replaced faulty window regulator/motor assembly in driver's door of my 2001 Pontiac Trans Am. Believe motor was the problem but much easier to replace whole assembly and avoid future problems. I did purchase a rivet gun and rivets to reinstall the regulator at time of order. It was not hard to replace but must be careful with loose window while assembly is being swapped out. It looked exactly like OEM part, went in perfect and worked even better, being a little faster up and down. Hopefully last, too early to say on durability, but so far very satisfied, no cons.

This really worked great in my 1997 Camaro. This is considered an "improved" design over the OEM and it would seem to be a more solid and stouter regulator. BTW, changing these out is not a job for kids, it takes some time and effort. Make sure you have the right rivets for the door and the window before you tear everything apart. This product was purchased for a replacement in a 2002 Camaro. I was very pleased with the exact fit of this product. The window motor is quiet like the original. The electrical hook up is a perfect match. The product i received did include the pop rivets to mount it to the door.
