This is the second Dorman Window Regulator that I have purchased and installed myself. I also purchased and replaced the drivers side door with excellent results. I did this on my 2008 Ford Expedition EL. When the drivers side window internal bracket failed six month ago, I called a national chain that only works on automotive glass, windows, and windshield replacement (if you watch television, or listen to the radio, you have likely heard their name and business jingle) and I received a quote from them for $500. I found this product for $91 for drivers door, and $101 for passenger door (not sure why the price difference, but whatever). I ordered the product and it arrived incredibly fast. When I opened the inner door panel to expose the hardware, I feared I was in over my head because it looked very complex. I replaced it and had everything back together, it is now working and looking as good new. It took me about 1.5 hours to do everything. Six months later, my passenger side front door window failed exactly like the drivers side six months earlier, and without hesitation I came here and purchased. With my experience from the first door, I was able to have this door open, replaced, and put back together in one hour. Assuming that I would have had to pay the same amount for the passenger side door, my bill for national chain would be $1,000! Doing the work myself cost me $192 +~2.5 hours time. That's a cost savings of $808! Do yourself a favor, if you have a basic understanding of nuts, bolts & screws. Buy this and do it yourself. If you are at all nervous, just watch a quick video on how exactly to remove your vehicles inner door panel, after that it will be super simple. Thank You Dorman for very fast service, clear directions, and a product that installs way easier than it looks!

When the driver's side regulator went the tech at Ford said the passenger side would probably go out within 6 months ....He wasn't wrong. I saved about $30 buying the regulator here and my husband said while it didn't slide in perfectly like the one we bought at Ford it fit well and wasn't difficult to install. It's working fine so I would definitely recommend it.

Bought this Dorman 749-543 for the passenger side of my 2007 Expedition because nobody had the Motorcraft in stock. It works good and was pretty easy to install but I had to drill out the hole where the bottom of the door handle pin sits, it was definitely smaller than it was supposed to be. The rest of the unit fit pretty good and the window now works good as new. My drivers side had started to fail first but I was able to remove it and service/lubricate the cables and mechanism using penetrating oil and lithium grease. That did the trick but when I went to do the same to the passenger side a few months later, the cable was frayed and it snapped on me. Both windows now work great at exactly the same speed each other.

shipping was great it came the next day, it fit perfectly and worked like a charm. the Job looks harder than it actually was it took me less than 1.5 hr to remove and install. for those who are asking it does not come with the motor. I ops checked mine before I ordered it. I've only had it in for a week so I cant attest to the durability yet but I will update with any issues.

Fit perfectly and worked like new, maybe better.The second replacement on my 07 Expedition, I used a Dorman lift on the drivers door a year ago. Appears to be as good or better quality than the oem lift.The actual replacement job is not too difficult for someone with some experience, there are good videos online. Watch some. Only a few basic tools are required; 1/4" socket set, some smaller Torx bits, screwdrivers, etc.I would recommend to a friend and would buy again.

It works again, problem is 2 years ago I replaced the broken OEM regulator with a doorman only to have to replace it again 2 years later. But it was cheap and it works like new. Hope this one holds up better.

This is now the second Dorman window regulator I have purchased for my 2008 Ford Expedition (replaced the driver's side about 6 months ago). The part fits perfectly and works great. It's not the easiest process to replace one, but it is definitely very doable if you are patient and meticulous, and have the right tools (some of the bolts are star drive instead of normal sockets). Took me about an hour start to finish. I would recommend this part to anyone whose window quits working (common problem in Fords, apparently).
