Can't believe after spending 2 hours replacing this water control valve on my car and it seems the temperature sensor is junk! With 2 minutes it takes the gauge to the hottest temperature and makes the overheating light come on and even turns on the motor warning display, which makes it impossible to know what the actual temperature is. Now I will have to buy a new sensor after already buying what was suppose the be the top of the line unit by Dorman, and the aluminum instead of the plastic one, next time I'll buy the cheap plastic.. I did read find an article after having the problem that said Dorman was aware of this problem a while back, and still continues to sell these faulty units. They should be made to replace the sensors with one's that work..

As other reviewers have stated the temperature sensor on this one shows that the car is a little warmed up when it's actually cold and won't allow the car to start. Had to put in the old temperature sensor then the gauge would read fully cold and car started no problem. Otherwise this is a great part but dorman needs to fix this issue immediately it's been going on a long time

Bought to replace Dorman plastic coolant hose crossover/bleeder. Plastic part broke at hose fitting and sprayed me in the face with hot coolant. Plastic part only lasted about three years. This one took a little to line up on engine but worked well after that. Hopefully it will last longer than the plastic part.

Sensor didn’t work for me , was causing a high voltage reading = check engine light. Replaced it with a new one because the old one would not come out of the old housing. Cleared codes worked perfect

I ordered this product for my Mother's 04 Chrysler Sebring the product fits perfectly BUT THE TEMP SENSOR IS BAD after my purchase I read the reviews and noticed this issue is common with this product so by the time you order from and then purchase the new temp sensor because the one on here is faulty could have just pick one up at the local automotive store.

This is better that the plastic and you only need replace the temperature sensor, is had one but doesn't work for Dodge Stratus only put your old temperature sensor
