The pair of downspout clean outs definitely fixed my problem. I tried different options, but these worked the best. The small door on the front is easy to open and clean out. It allows you to clean them from the ground!

We have a giant oak tree that drops debris into our gutters, so I'm constantly cleaning out drains. This filter still requires me to clear that debris, but it collects it in the downspout filter rather than in the pipes. You'll want to go around after every couple storms and check that the filter it's clogged, but that's much easier than clearing underground pipes! I have two installed along our driveway, so I walk by them frequently and can easily access them.If you're not going to check and clear these filters, then I would not recommend getting them... but they work well for my routine.

Installed several of these to keep leaves out of our french drains. They do work, but leak at the bottom of the body . A bit of caulk might solve that problem.The overall look is not great with 2 x 3 downspout. The downspout has to be mounted off the wall, because the 2x3 opening is centered on the larger 3x4 downspout, creating a gap all around. Not pretty. Too bad the manufacturer doesn't include a cap to use with 2x3.The good news is they work and priced much less than other options.

I didn’t expect to see much in these downspout filters. I was wrong, a lot of debris makes its way in. I installed these to monitor and learn what was coming down the pipe, before trenching and installing pipes to lead the water away from the foundation. These filters will now be apart of the final solution that will eventually be installed. I’ll end up purchasing white filter units. I was sampled black units.These ‘CYTMALHG Downspout Filter, Downspout Leaf Filter, Leaf Removers’ are a great value.
