I’ve used this to rebuild 2 Audi 2.0t engines. Decent build quality and has all the parts you need to lock in the timing.

Some weird allot that’s. Or steel or aluminum that breaks on first use.Avoid if you value your engine.

The cam lock/holder is just fine. The Poly Drive bit/socket that comes with the kit does not fit the VVT gear bolt AT ALL.Buy an Assenmacher VW5220 Poly Drive #10 Socket.

Will have to rework the locking tool (so that is doesn't break) as other reviews have already indicated. The poly drive bit doesn't fit properly and when forced in, it will alter the shape of the splines in the bolt. All the pieces are just stamped metal with sharp edges and overall poor fit and finish. This probably holds true for all products from this brand.

Product works perfect as long as you don’t rely on the small screws they provide to hold the locating pins; kept vehicle in time and held cams allowing for removal and replacement of rear cam phaser and timing chain 2007 Audi 2.0t FSI

The can cradle lock broke as soon as putting any torque to it. The Poly socket teeth chewed off, wrong size and just cheap socket . I would not recommend this product

The cam position bar needs to be welded because the screw heads will pop off and the bar will fall apart. Meanwhile the special socket will explode and not break loose the bolt.If you can get the cam position bar welded it's great. Socket still sucks.

Weld the cam holder rods on or it will brake the bolts that connects them to the main bar.

So it worked and fit nicely but as others have said the screws that hold the cam studs in are way to small they just break off when you put any kind of pressure on them, if your trying to remove the VVT bolt , So what I did was drill a large hole in the plate where the screws are at and very carefully welded them in place, I guarantee that will hold , because I took the VVT bolt out with no problems and replaced it with a new VVT sprocket and bolt, that was the only downside to this tool .
