I bought this to replace my old Dritz red tomato pin cushion that was on a plastic wrist-shaped band. There is no comparison. First, this tomato is small. But, the main problem is the Velcro fastener sometimes folds back and catches onto the fabric I'm pinning. Also, I have a small wrist and my wrist takes up the full amount of the Velcro overlap. If you have a larger wrist, some Velcro will be exposed.
