I like the size. Fits PLB and in scuba pocket.

Do you need to carry a cup of coffee with you on a dive? This will definitely work for that. It'll also hold an unopened can of soda. Or the biggest keyfob you can imagine. Or a range of different PLBs. It's a little short to hold my Standard Horizon HX40 radio with the antenna attached, but I haven't found anything bigger at a reasonable price.

Incredible container! I use it for scuba diving and have 3 of them now. Plenty of room for plb1 and signal mirror. Inside comes plain without any attachment points. There are 3 holes on the outside. Inside I added some cable tie anchors slightly modified to fit 1/8" bungee so it stays together and has a place to clip things off so I don't lose them. I added a 2" webbing mount with hose clamp and bolt snap so if it's ever needed everything can stay together and attached to me. In the future I'll add a fishing spinner so the bungee I added inside doesn't tangle. Amazing customer service too, highly recommended!!!

Bought it for diving in Bonaire. You typically rent a truck and beach dive, so you need to figure out what to do with the fob. We ended up not needing it because our car came with a good old fashioned key.The thing seems sturdy enough. For $100 they could have put more thought into how to fasten it - a couple a small holes and go figure it out. They do tell you not to use metal hooks to protect the anodizing of the case. The anodizing was rubbed off before we even got there from transport in our dive bag.So all in all, it seems sturdy but I would go for a cheap plastic container for about $8 instead (and they come with a carabiner hook)

Bonaire is for shore diving but they caution you to leave your car unlocked with no valuables inside. I carried the case in a thigh bag while diving. Allowed me to carry a key fob, DL , CC and some cash. Worked great with no leaks. It is big so I would recommend while SCUBA diving that you place it in a storage bag as it would flop around if just clipped to a BC. Max depth was around 80 feet on the wreck dive.

As a former scuba diving instructor and now recreational diver with 700ish dives, I believe many recreational divers underestimate the necessity of carrying safety equipment. This Dryfob XL is of such high quality, that I carry a high-price satellite beacon and a second container with a VHF radio. This helps to get found when adrift from dives sites in areas like Indonesia with insanely ripping currents. The customs clearing for importing to Germany was all arranged and included in the price of roughly 120 EUR per container as of Oct 2024. I have experience from other sellers and other countries where I have to post-pay German customs and additional processing fees etc. Also, I have ordered diving containers made of plastic and the thread was a already damaged when it arrived so the Aluminium version from dryfob is to me the most solid solution I know as of 2024.Very well done Dryfob!!!Jaan, from the founder couple was very responsive and helpful too while answering my questions.
