A friend recommended this to me for my Ender 3 so I gave it a shot. Installation was easy, I clearanced the top cover to clear the Z axis screw but other than that, it was all plug and play for me. I recently was having an issue feeding filament into the bowden tube and I investigated today. This piece of filament was stuck between the bowden tube and the extruder gears for a week of almost around the clock printing and it never skipped a beat or caused any issues. This little extruder drive is amazing!

I was really excited to step up my print game with this, but unfortunately had nothing but trouble from day 1 due to lack of quality control. Putting it together, I noticed that the lever screw already felt cross-threaded and didn't seat into the body correctly, tried adjusting it but it continued to eat at the filament from improper pressure. The assembly was poorly done and so the fillament feed through it when installing, one of the PTFE tube fittings was installed askew and so there was no straight path for it to follow. I tried to correct that issue and managed to seat it correctly which mostly solved the problem. Unfortunately, while trying to reinstall the lever screw the plastic screw knob twisted and came detatched from the screw so I can no longer tighted or loosen it, which makes it unusable at this point. Total bummer.

I have a 5 in 1 out Diamond Full Color nozzle. I did not want to pay $60 each for extruders back when I got this nozzle so I made my own. I've never been able to get good results from the nozzle with those. I saw these clines and figured $15 each was a fair price to see if they work. They work incredibly well!My home made extruders never were consistent and broke quite often. These clones are solid and smooth. My home made ones needed 1.5 amps from the drivers. With these clones I was able to cut that in half.My home made extruders were loud. These are very quiet.I am not sure how long they will last, but if the bearings are the only thing that go out (read a lot of reviews about that), I can easily replace them. I lubed everything with gun oil during assembly.I also needed the filament to feed in from the "bottom" so the end they come out of would be the part that has the removable ptfe adapter. That is another part that will break. I need to be able to easily replace it. The part that the instructions show as the outlet is part of the extruder and cannot be easily replaced. I installed the ptfe in the nipple and then screwed that into the extruder. There is absolutely no play in the PTFE and reduced stringing. I was able to cut my retraction by almost 1mm.These are cheap. Know what you are getting into amd you won't be disappointed.

The replacement I received seems to be doing its job but, it certainly doesn't inspire confidence. After the replacement came I installed it in place of the defective extruder and was surprised at how much quieter it was compared to the first. However, in about an hour the new one started making as much noise as the first. The new replacement is not having the same print quality issue that the first one did but, I feel like its only a matter of time before this one fails based purely on the amount of concerning sounds coming from it.Bearing seals on both sides of the main axel bearings sheared off after 12h of use. The extruder was noisy out of the box and I have had issues with slipping during retract unretract moves causing issues with print quality. Seems like it has potential but the inconsistent feed issues make good prints impossible. I'm currently waiting for a replacement and will update once installed.

It works, but it really needs some direction on what the esteps should be to start with. I spent 2 days chasing the numbers up and down the dial. Ran the calculations, and it went under. Ran it again and it went over. Then it went over again. Then under..... I changed filament from PETG to PLA, and it went over AGAIN. Second problem, the exit side should have a a hole for the PTFE tube to go up into the unit more after the connection. Mine doesn't align 100% so it's quite difficult at times to load filament, as in I had to disassemble it to load. Other then that, at 1/3rd the price of the "real thing" it's worth the money.

The quality is solid, especially for being less than half the price of the original. I disassembled the bearings from the sprocket and made sure to add lithium grease to them. They were already lightly lubed up but I wanted to make sure I didn’t have too maintenance them for several printing hours. The installation was super easy and quick. I installed this on my tevo tornado. I was having some skipping With my factory titan extruder clone, but to be fair it had about 200 print hours on it.I was a little worried that this would be one of those cheap clones that ended up being more trouble than they are worth but so far it has been solid. I’ve only had it a couple of days, so I will post an update after a few months if it’s still holding up by then. Overall my initial thoughts are positive.

Upgraded to direct drive on my Cr-10. Was printing horribly for the first few weeks. Make sure the set screw on the internal metal gear on the same shaft as the plastic wheel/gear is tightened. I opened the unit multiple times to see what the issue was but the set screw was never visible. Make sure this is tightened or you're going to have a bad day. This should have been integral to the shaft but to get it this cheap it's obvious that wasn't possible. Since tightening the set screw prints have been immaculate!!

I bought this together with some powerful fans so I can increase my print speed. It took me a while to get this calibrated correctly but it was worth the effort! Before, I printed at 80mm at the fastest with around 50-60mm being my average to get quality prints. Now, I print at 150mm with 4000 acceleration and still get nice prints! I'm sure with more calibration, I can get this a bit faster. But for now, I'm happy cutting my print times without sacrificing quality!
