IR Remote Control IR Tube Receiver

- Our IR Receiver is a perfect Accessory to hide your IR Repeater Extender Systems – Our Tube IR receiver for the HDTVHookup and Unique Products Online Repeater kits. Its unique design allows it to be mounted in a wall, cabinet or door so you have a more professional look to your setup! This will require you drill a ½” hole in your wall or cabinet, slide the Tube receiver in and tighten using a 5/8” wrench or your fingers.
- Our IR Receiver can receive signals from 25’ away and up to a 45° angle from the remote control. This can be used with any IR ( Infra-Red ) remote control. Cable is 10’ long.
- 40ft @ 38Khz
- 25ft @ 56Khz
- Works with any Make model of remote controls as long as they use Infrared technology.

I needed an IR Receiver that could be installed in a wall that would integrate with an IR Repeater System. At first it did not work. After peering over the documentation that came with the IR Receiver, I determined that the pin-out was Tip-Output, Ring-VDC-, and Sleeve-VDC+. In other words, the Ring and Sleeve connections were reversed when compared to my IR Repeater System. In all my years of audiovisual work, I have never seen a device where the Sleeve was not negative or ground. I made an adapter cable with a 3.5mm Male and a 3.5mm Female, switching the Ring and Sleeve connections. The device worked perfectly after I did this. Not an ideal solution, but I was pressed for time to get the install done. If not for the pin-out situation, this would be a 5-star rating.
