The Zettaguard HDMI extender uses Cat5/CAT-6 cables up to 50 meters instead of HDMI cable to transmit high definition signal, for cutting down cost.
- It not only breaks the limitation of the HDMI cable transmission length but also has more flexibility and convenience in cable construction.
- It is equipped with HDMI (high definition Multimedia Interface) connector and is capable of supporting DVI (digital visual interface) equipment when used with an HDMI to DVI adapter.
- Providing greater flexibility and options when integrating several home theater components. Extender system consists of a sender and a receiver unit.

Had these about 3 years, have had multiple issues with them, disrupting presentations frequently. I understand there are better options, and i strongly encourage you to seek those out.

I used a handful of these for running HDMI signals to computer monitors. The runs are about 26 feet, using category 6 cable. The "sparklies" that other reviews have mentioned are just too obnoxious to ignore. I tried different cords, factory and custom-made, also tried the different configurations of powered and unpowered for transmitter and receiver, and the result was also unusable. I wound up replacing them with higher quality ones. Don't buy this product.

I'm using the device with a 50ft CAT-5 cable. Installation was easy. It is important to read the manual and to set the DIP switches right for the length of the cable. There are eight different levels (three binary DIP switches). After adjusting the signal strength with the switches, the device worked perfectly.

Make sure you read and follow directions for the EQ(length of Ethernet) feature of this unit. Initially my HDMI to my projector did not work due to the length away from the AV receiver. Adjusting the EQ fixed the issue. Highly recommended!

I was at first apprehensive in purchasing this item, but I'm glad I did. I bought this item primarily to avoid having to rent another cable box from Cox, which cost $8.50 a month. So after five months this item will have paid for itself, the rest is pure savings. I did purchase another remote control so I wouldn't have to carry the one I have from one location to another, but that's just optional. Hope it lasts for awhile.

So far so good. I have used 4 of these. I Cascaded 2 of them for a basement shop and exercise area for my sister and it worked well. I did not need the IR for various reasons. Picture quality is pretty darn good. Amazing for a single cat5e solution. Until I need 4K resolution at remote locations this works!

This product worked as designed when I first connected it. But I don't know what happened about a month of use and the receiver has stopped working. So I'm rating it a medium rating until I find out what went wrong. I have checked everything even the DIP switch settings and it still isn't working. It has been over a year since I bought this so I don't expect any replacement of the device. I will probably be switching to a 5G Wireless system anyway.

It worked well on my newer tv, but it would not work for my older set. Apparently it upscales it too much for the older set. I had to get an adapter to drop it to rca to get it to work there. It served its purpose and allows me to watch our security cameras in another room.
