I'm impressed how well this extender worked right out of the box and using only 1 cat6 cable. I replaced an old one that needed 2 cables. The default setting was just right so I didn't have to mess with any settings.

Small and inconspicuous. Used with 25m cat6e cable. Takes single hdmi signal from laptop to multi splitter that feeds signal to four tv screens.Plugged it in. Connected cables and it worked.Very happy.

Display is 50' away from the NVR. Using shielded CAT6 the picture is perfect with no noticeable delay. The infrared extender works flawlessly. The pieces are solidly built and the connections snug. Indicator lights illuminate when there are proper connections. The dip switches are not used, according to tech support.

This device works well for extending the signal from my CCTV server to a remote TV in my bedroom. Configuring the dip switches for addressing was straightforward once understood. For optimal performance, I recommend using at least Cat5e cable. Be mindful that it may struggle with 4K video signals, so adjust expectations accordingly.

We just plugged it into our 50m CAT6 cable and its got the hall projector up and running perfectly.Didn't bother messing with the DIP switches, but we found another user that had found some settings just in case we needed to play with them.

I have five different 5v power adapters and none of them would fit the hdmi plugThey don’t list what type it will work with it so I gave up

Great way to extend hdmi without having to use actual hdmi. This nice inexpensive solution saved me a fortune, and was easily installed myself. Couldn't be simpler to use. Picture quality is perfect, identical as if I'd used a 6 foot hdmi cable. Very happy!

Love this product! Way better to make these long runs with ethernet cables than hdmi cables and without having to worry about radio interference like with wireless units!

As a professional installer I would buy these HDMI-over-Cat5 adapters over again. The cable is at least 70 ft long and no issue with the signal. Recommend

What a nightmare! All I wanted was a way to transmit the signal from my security system monitor to my computer room. This device APPEARS to be perfect - if you can get it working.Well it didn't work for me initially or after a dozen tries. With the 2 monitors side by side I tried cord after cord after cord. Cat 5e, cat 6, 6 foot, 15 foot, 25 foot, 100 foot, only 1 of the 25 foot cords would work until I finally borrowed a 100 foot cable that worked. It came to me with all of the 3 dip switches set to OFF. I tried different random configurations, but the one that worked was all down (all 1). The seller will not tell you what they do or how to set them even if you request that information. They told me that they are 'automatic switches' and don't need to be touched - and the manual transmission in my car is also an 'automaticly shifting transmision' if you consider me doing all the shifting as automatic. This device is very very very finicky as to what ethernet cords it is run through. Even the cord that is currently RUNNING my security system would not display a picture on this device! The seller should make this very clear rather than saying 'high quality cable'. They would not define what that is - give me a brand or pair a brand with your product. I tried brand name cables, some brand new and some used industrial grade cables from server rooms and only 2 of them would work with this device.UPDATE: Seller contacted me today (Nov 2024) and offered a full refund. So they do stand behind their product. I refused since I have gotten it working and it does work if you can figure out how...

This Cenmate HDMI Extender comes with everything in the box to setup a remote distance monitor over Ethernet. After powering up the device with the supplied power supply and attaching the transmitter to a video source, I first tried a 100 ft. low-quality Cat-5 cable and the devices did not sync. (Sync is indicated by an LED on the receiver) I then tried other lengths of Cat-5, Cat-6 and 50 feet of Cat-7 cables and all worked perfectly. The 1080p image on the monitor did not appear to have any lag or loss of quality. The reason I did not give this device a 5-star review was because I could never get the remote IR transmitter and receiver to work. In fact, when properly connected, with the IR transmitter placed near the TV monitor, I could not control the monitor from the IR receiver end with the TV's remote.Furthermore, the remote would not work with the TV at all until I covered the IR transmitter. It appeared that the transmitter was constantly generating IR "noise" that interfered with the TV's IR controls. I did verify that I had correctly connected the IR devices, but was unable to get the remote control to work.Recommended for the device build quality and picture quality, not sure about the IR functions.

The "cenmate 1080p@60Hz HDMI Extender Over Single Cat5e/Cat6/Cat 7, Up to 164 FT, HDMI Over Ethernet, Supports Bidirectional IR, 3D, HDCP, EDID, POC" I received works very well.I tested these using a ATEM Streaming bridge to an HDMI splitter where one split went to a different HDMI over Ethernet extender to a far away monitor, then the second hdmi out went to this Transmitter. The receiver went to a Sony 4k monitor. It fired up and worked using a 150 foot Cat6 cable after setting the dip switches to 1. It works without flaw.Yes, there is a little latency, but not much and is expected for budget extenders. There are some with true zero loss and no latency, but they are priced much higher than this one. The image reproduction on this extender is very good however.I use these to run video in other rooms and for presentations. I have no issues with it. It just works as described. Worthy of consideration.
