1. Something You Should Know Before Purchase a Valve Kit. VERY IMP0RTANT !!!
NG? LPG? Check fuel type in your house.
In most cases, your fuel type will be determined by where you live. Typically, urban and suburban homes will have natural gas (NG) delivered to the home via underground piping. Propane (LPG) is more common in rural areas where natural gas is not available and will be stored in tank on the property.
In either case, be sure to know your fuel type before purchasing your gas log set. Fireplace gas logs are designed to work specifically with either natural gas or propane. A natural gas system will not operate on propane, or vice versa.
18" to 30" Vented Log Sets Fireplace only
Vented log sets must be installed in an approved fireplace opening with a working chimney. This valve kit is ONLY for vented type fireplace.
For the best flame and heating performance, this valve kit is only for log sets having a width between 18" to 30".
Smart Home or RF Remote?
1. Looking for controlling and integrating your gas fireplace in your smartphone APP, and voice-control with hubs such as Amazon Echo, Google Assistant speakers, we recommend the Smart Home (SH) WiFi series for you. Such as “6VK SH3002” model.
2. Looking for a traditional, direct, simple remote control solution by holding a transmitter handset in hand, then the RF type remote control kits are the best fit your needs. Such as "8VK TX340" model.
Choose No Leak AA, AAA batteries.
For battery-powered devices, we strongly recommend the Energizer AA & AAA Lithium Batteries, of listing ASIN: B00EAKP8S0 or equal quality batteries which are Leak-Proof.
ATTENTION: Any corrosion caused by batteries leak will damage remote control devices. This issue will be regarded as improper use by user.

Remote is useless -- it seems to make up its own mind as to when to turn off. It will light, but then turn off after 15mins regardless of setting. The on/off switch works fine, so we are just using it that way. Save your money and look at other options if proper functionality is important.

DO NOT BUY.I made the mistake of buying this without reading the reviews.My experience is similar to others who have reviewed the product befor me. I installed the unit in my fireplace and tested it several times briefly, before I put the logs in, and it seemed to worked fine. However the first time I used it after putting logs on the grate it ran for about 10 minutes and tehn shut down by itself. I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO GET THE UNIT TO RE-START AGAIN.Fortunately Amazon is allowing me to return for a full refund.

Bought one in November and seemed to work great so I ordered another one recently. Both of them died out. There's plenty of room from log set to the control box. It's not that it overheats. It's really just junk. No warranty support or support at all. JUNK!

Spent a few hours installing this and it would run for a few hours then turn off. Could reignite it and it’d run for 5 mins and off. Again it’d run for an hour then off . There is no company to contact, their help guide is worthless and zero support. The help guide claims it is overheating which isn’t true, it isn’t near flame and has additional heat shield. I got this because it was 35% off and should have know but it got returned and now I will warn others. If you are reading this… don’t do it! Run and run fast

The electronic ignition worked great. The major flaw was the flame could not be adjusted using the remote. I should have researched the product by reading the manufactures online blog.... many people with the same issue.
