I keep my generator outside at the time being and this cover has held up to the elements just great. The price was good I don't think you can go wrong with this cover.

It really keeps the water out. I get a pool of water on the cover. Just lift it to drain it out. Does not fly away while it’s covering the generator.

A nice looking cover and fits my generator perfectly. My main drawback to it is that it’s very easy to blow away and stronger winds. I end up having to put a brick on top of it to keep it in my own yard.

Purchased a Duromax generator for home backup during power outages. Also purchased this cover for the generator when in storage. While I'm happy with the generator this cover will be returned. The material is so thin and of such poor quality that the creases from packaging have worn thin spots as you can see in the second photo. This thing is so poorly made it really should have been included with the generator for no additional cost.I'll get my $30 back and cover it with a tarp or moving blanket. This is such a piece of junk its actually insulting that they charge for it.

I bought this to keep it in my garage an to avoid getting dust or wood dust on it, and it works like a charm. I cut vertical holes along the handles and used Gorilla tape to protect the cut seams, and also added Gorilla tape around the bottom seams, this way I can roll it under a bench when not in use, and I know it will last because the seams are better protected. If you have a Honda generator buy a Honda cover, if you have a bike buy a bike cover, this is for a DuroMax generator, so don't buy the wrong thing and rate it low.You can look at the picture and see the wheels so it's not going to protect it from rough weather, or animals that like to chew on stuff. So if you plan to store your expensive generator outdoors do yourself a favor and think it through. Why not protect your investment and spend more than $20 to do so? You can buy some spray oil and put a thin coat on it so it doesn't rust. If you plan to keep it outdoors do yourself a favor and at least buy a cheap Rubbermaid plastic shed, if that' s too expensive for you then buy a cheap 25x25' tarp, or pick up one from salvation army or the dollar store. Save a piece of the box you got with the generator and put it on top, then roll the generator on it, wrap the tarp around it a few times, and use bungee cords to hold it together. This is not for outdoor Detroit weather, Alaska or the Arizona desert, protect your investment with some common sense and don't annoy everyone else with silly reviews because you didn't think it though.

I needed a new portable generator to power our home when we lose electricity in hurricane active Florida. My other generator was a Coleman Powermate 5000 watt that was trust worthy for over 22 years. My only problem was with the Coleman was the pull start and the need for more power that I wanted to increase my requrements. When I saw the DuroMax unit on Amazon and read the reviews I decided to sell my Coleman and upgrade to the 8500 watt output and electric start features that I wanted. The price was right and when I saw that there was not charge for shipping a heavy 200 lb plus package, I knew it was the best generator for me to purchase. The monster was delivered by FedEx with a two day advance call from the office to setup the time of delivery. It came on a pallet when the driver dropped it off at the entrance to my garage. I read the other reviews and found them helpful, but lacking a few details that I will explain further in my review. The generator itself is quite small and took up the same amount of space as my coleman in the garage. I ordered the nice custom fit cover to keep the dust off during storage. Now for the tips that might help you setup this generator: First, the handles look almost identical even from the pictures in the assembly instructions. However, don't be fooled. I attempted several times to figure out why one handle would not fold all the way down like the other one and finally saw there was a small notch in the one that goes on the right side. This allows it to fold down all the way and clear the frame. Installing the handles are a challenge as they have small bushings that you have to hold in position while installing the long screw through the frame tubing.Next, the instructions for assembling the wheel kit are really lousy. I actually put the wheels on the wrong side of the frame the first time as it looked like it didn't matter. After realizing I had to remove them and put them on the other side was very frustrating. The best way to put the wheels on is to just tip the unit up on it's side rather that place two by fours under the frame as previously explained in another review. After setup and installing a 9 ft ground rod, I started the unit up with the battery. (I had to call tech support to find out where the neg cable was to hook up the battery) It ran fine and really looks like it was worth the effort to get it setup. I can only say they need to improve the manual. When I called they told me that the tires are lifetime inflated. The manual says that you need to watch to have the air valves facing out!
