Put this on a tahoe 5.3L. It already had an aftermarket louder muffler when I bought it and I wanted it as close to factory quiet as possible, but still with a little rumble and it is just that. Just loud enough so you know it’s not factory, but you can’t even hear it while driving unless you mash it to the floor.

This muffler fits a 3" inlet and 3" outlet. I used this to replace the muffler on my 1994 F350 with a 351W V8. The sound is exactly what I wanted. Its still quiet at idle/low rpm but has a good tone and you can hear it when you rev it. It'd be nice if the muffler was made of stainless but that's not realistic at this price point.

Sounded awesome for a week or so but now the wife and I agree they need to go in the trash..Completely deafening in our BBC ‘53 pick up. Even with full length tailpipes all the way past the roll pan they drone soooo bad.

I got this for my 85 Benz Turbo Diesel. It has a 3” straight pipe. After the custom exhaust was put on, it had the most unbearable drone at cruising speeds. This took care of that. Still a touch louder then I want but with the space I have to work with this muffler was the only one that would fit. For a straight through muffler, it does work good without robbing power.

2005 GMC Sierra ext. cab with 3" pipe kit. Installed this and it drones worse than the 6 yr old Gibson kit I was going to replace it with. Under some throttle pressure (and not even much of that), you'll get drone in the cab between 1600-2000 RPM. So that equates to a range of 55-70 mph...so everything on the highway.Honestly, a nice muffler...Looking inside it and the build looks very solid. I've used a Dynomax super turbo cat back kit in a car and was very impressed with the sound. That's why I got this one, but this is not the right muffler for my ears.

I have a 2005 Sierra 5.3L that needed a new muffler and i wanted something that had a nice deep tone but not loud. The problem is there are so many aftermarket mufflers out there, that come with reviews that are all over the place.....too loud, too quiet, drones on like a ex-wife. Dynomax is one of the few I haven't tried so I figured I'd give it a shot. I bought the Super Turbo, a few 3" to 2 3/4" exhaust adapters and a resonator exhaust tip to help combat any drone at highway speeds. It took me about 2 hours to cut out the old and weld in the new , I did have to add some straight pipe since the Dynomax is about 9 inches shorter than the stock muffler. Well the end result is exactly what I was hoping for, very deep tone, no crackle and little to no drone.We will see how well it holds up over time, but hell, you can't beat the price.

THE THICKNESS AND WARMTH OF THIS MUFFLER ARE GREAT WHAT MORE WOULD YOU WANT WRAPPED AROUND YOUR NECK THAN A CAR MUFFLER. GET REAL PEOPLE.
