Installed on 2015 GMC Yukon Denali XL. Installation was straight forward. Mounted a Sears roof top carrier on the bars using U-bolts. Packed the carrier and drove about 1k miles (round trip) on vacation without issues.

Had no issues with the install. The product came with everything needed for the install. One word of advice is to not fully tighten the two smaller hex nuts until after the end brackets are tightened in place on the vehicle. The small hex key fits easily underneath to finish tightening the four small hex bolts in place. Make sure all pieces are installed in the right direction as pieces are marked. On my vehicle I had to remove the plastic plugs that filled the screw holes on the roof. The red plastic pry tool in the picture did not come with the roof rack but worked nicely for this job.

I read the reviews and was ready to return this but gave it a chance and glad I did. My opinion is if you have no mechanical skills don’t attempt assembly because I don’t want to be behind you on the highway! Product arrived nicely packaged. Everything was in a sturdy box, each part was individually wrapped. One thing for some, there are two sizes of screws in the bag with two sizes of washers. Both tools for assembly are included but I suggest using your own. The star screws go on the vertical racks, which actually already have factory screws in them and come with their own sized washers. I actually had an extra larger screw and washer. I don’t understand why people complain about assembly. Look at my photos, labeled so a blind person could assemble. I suggest lining up the length before tightening the actual rack screws (small ones) and USE Loctite on the screws which you can find at your local pharmacy for you rookie assemblers. The rest of you know where to buy it. You can place a price of tape near the rack ends to get these tight. Put some loctite on the tips of screws, they will not easily come out or loosen once you do this. For those of you that go through a car wash, remove them before you go through wash. Sign clearly says at every wash that they are not responsible for aftermarket parts. I am guessing the reviews of noise are most likely because yours are on BACKWARDS read the labels folks! Put them on, use the existing bolts GM put in them if you can. Use your own tools or buy some, can also be picked up just ask your pharmacist. Have fun, take your time and do it right! Look at my pictures! It does not get any easier. Loctite, your tools, common sense. Your Welcome

The kayak structure seems well made. The hardware is a bit cheap. While it is stainless the washers are really flimsy for the size of the hole. I would also recommend some blue loctite on the bolts that hold the cross bars to the end brackets. They are hard to get really tight and like to back out after a few trips.

I bought these rails to attach my Kayak rack. I took Kayaks 500 miles on my SUV without any problems.Well worth the money and piece of mind…I would buy it again!

This rack was super easy to install and we loved it for a few months, until, all of a sudden, one of the rear racks started rattling around because the screws stripped and popped out. I looked at the type of hardware I'd need to buy to replace it and NOBODY carries it. Like, it doesn't exist. "Fair enough," I though to myself. "I've had pretty good luck with Amazon vendors being cool and helping me out with replacement parts. I'll just reach out to the seller for some extra hardware." No joke, the reply I got from the seller was, "We don't carry additional screws and bolts. Please check your local store." For real? You don't carry screws and bolts for your own products? WHAT?What a freaking joke. Please don't take this seller seriously.

Installed on a 2019 Chevy Tahoe . The instructions were not good but it was easy to figure out. Small screws and small washers go in the top bar. Large screws and larger washers mount the brackets to the vehicle. Mine came with all parts and tools to assemble. Very sturdy aluminum, easy to install. Fit perfectly. I tool my time installing these and it was about a half hour to install. For the money and quality, I am not sure you can beat it.
