These work well for their intended purpose. Edge banding. Very useful to create blemish free edge band - no pins or brads necessary. The jaw material is grippy and stretchy so it creates a tight joint. You want a lot of them. I would say every 6" or so. Note you can only use these to center the band over the workpiece. If you are doing shelves with a drop lip these won't hold it. It wants the band to be on center and will move it there. Jaws are quite sticky so I recumbent putting something between them when storing. Wax paper etc. We will see how long they hold up but they do work well.

These clamps are similar to Rockler's "Bandy Clamp" with a rubber band between the jaws that can be used to hold something like edge banding on while the glue dries. Compared to the bandy clamps I have, these have a much stronger holding force (and are also harder to squeeze open). The jaw pads are made of a different type of material, that kind of sticky rubber that eventually stops being sticky when it gets covered in dust. Time will tell if this is a useful difference from the standard jaw material.I will definitely use these in the wood shop and time will tell if they're better or worse than others out there.

When I first tried these out I was surprised by the force needed to open them. They have a very strong grip and be mindful with your fingers. These have worked well when working on a variety of projects and assembling items. Good value for 4 robust clamps.

I've never used band spring clamps before and I didn't have great expectations. However, I was wrong this clamps hold very securely and are quick and easy to use. The springs are very strong.

These are well-made examples of this type of clamp; I expect them to hold up pretty well. The straps don't attach to the feet at the clamping seat, they are slightly offset. They would probably be useful the edge piece being in place was substantial, but if I was just gluing a naked strip of veneer on to the edge of my piece, I would probably mess it up if I used these. The main thing I find the straps useful for is keeping the solid body of the clamp from marring the edges of my pieces.

These clamps are strong. Their clamping force is nothing to be messed around with. The spring load they have is remarkable. I have no concern with whether or not they will hold things together. The pivoting clamp heads and their cushioning pads are great to have to help prevent indentations being left behind and ideal to make sure you get a square press with them against a flat surface. The grip handles are comfortable to squeeze. The clamp opening of over 2 inches is suitable for most of the jobs I use this type of clamp on. The hinges are beefy and the clamp limiter strap is nice in preventing the clamp jaws from being pushed too far onto a surface. Overall: These clamps are a nice complement to the less robust clamps I have been using for years.

Often I do iron on edge banding, but for some cases, I lie to use either matching or contrasting hardwoods to do it. I've usually used the "blue tape clamping method", but I'm not always happy with the results. These edge band spring clamps are exceptional at holding the banding firmly against the edge. In fact, the spring are so strong, they'll likely be a workout for you too. The rubber pads are perfect for not marring the wood and even though they are plastic, they seem plenty sturdy to last a long time.

I make extensive use of plywood when I am building shelves and cabinets. Instead of using cheap, iron-on veneer to conceal the edges, I cut my own wood strips and glue them on. I need a reliable method for firmly holding the glued strips to the edge of the plywood while they dry. That why I got these clamps. What I Likeo Large size clamps. Will work with any project i have.o Wide jaws. Won't slip.o Strong springs. Think grip exerciser.o Four clamps included -- enough to clamp an entire edge of a board.o Red color makes locating them easy. This is a high quality set of four clamps that are perfect for edge gluing plywood veneers. The springs are strong, the jaws are wide and they hold firmly.
