The shade was a great fit, the directions were ok. Had to figure out how to put the rope in place, but overall it turned out perfect for blocking the sun, great deal, looks good and a great product, thank you

It has a lot of pieces and not great instructions. It worked well once it was up but it was not fun to put together. I had to recruit help.

The installation instructions are good and the construction is quite sturdy. I've bought less expensive shades that were fairly poor quality and I feel these are a good value for the price. They don't block all of the view, but enough that I feel I have some privacy.

Someone in the reviews said he hung this with s hooks because he too had a metal gazebo so I tried that, as opposed to waiting on my husband to get it together, and it worked! Yay me!! The s hook is hanging right on the track for the curtains. Im using 2 inch hooks. I stuck a piece of double sided tape/velcro on the spot where they are hanging from just to add a bit more grip. I originally tried to hang the screen with the heavy duty velcro and it worked for 1 day but then fell down-so dont do that. Anyway, love the shade, was easy to put together and hung by myself.

I purchased this shade to reduce the direct sunlight off my deck. It arrived in perfect condition and was pretty easy to install. It functions well and appears to be good quality. There are a couple of things that prevent it from earning 5 Stars: 1) The instructions for routing the cord that raises and lowers the shade are poor. You'll be able to figure it out, but it'll take some time; 2) The hook/cleat that's used to tie the cord is plastic. Mine broke easily... not a very big deal. I bought a metal cleat from the home improvement store, for a couple of dollars and it's working great; 3) Finally, the material doesn't block enough sunlight, so it's not a functional, for me, as I hoped. The texture is attractive, but I would have preferred more light-blocking.Overall, I'm happy with this purchase.

first of all, I have no idea what all of these great reviews are. this is absolutely the cheapest possible shade you could purchase for your outdoor space. And by cheap I mean horrible quality. first, it is a nightmare to install. If you were installing it anywhere over a height of let’s say 7 feet, get some thing else. You have to attach the pulleys to the frame and then thread the cord through so if you were attaching it at any sort of a height where you’re using a ladder, you’ll be up and down the ladder. A lot. Next, once it is up it does not hang nicely straight. It has buckles on the edges because they are not finished. It’s like it is stretched out or some thing. It looks terrible. The material itself is incredibly cheap. I would be shocked if this lasted more than one season. Also, this is not a shade that you can routinely put up and down every day. I think it is made more for you let it down once for the season and then you roll it up at the end of the season. If you try to Roll it up, it does not roll up in nice folds or in a nice roll. It rolls up all bunched and terrible looking because of how cheap the fabric is – it’s like a plastic mesh.I am sending this back and I’m going to spend the extra $30 and get something better at a big box store. at least I know it will be made better. What makes me mad is that I thought once it was up it would be OK, but it is not at all. And now I have to spend another two hours taking this thing down tomorrow and boxing it up. Please save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere .

And it only took me 11 years to figure this out!! There’s nothing that can compare to a southern wrap around porch; until the afternoon/evening sun hit it! Now we can enjoy our lovely porch anytime of the day. These roll up shades allow enough light to come through while allowing breezes to cool us down. They are classy and blend into the architecture without any distractions. They did require some planning and thinking for installation but I am probably a little OCD when it comes to measurements. They are durable, roll up with ease and a 67 year old GM installed them. Would buy again in a heartbeat. Mind you they are probably a 3 beer and Pulp Fiction soundtrack on replay type of project.
