The book is exactly what I needed but the paperboard cover is not up to snuff. It arrived damaged, and is impossible to correct, unlike the Squibbs covers.But the price was right, and I am in a pinch for time as far as shipping. I can't wait for a second one to be sent.

This is my fist year being a teacher and this is my bible it’s easy to understand it’s compact and big enough to still read. I love this grade book the only thing that really does suck is the wire that ties it all together bends easily. Therefore you have to constantly be unbending the spiral. Other than that I have no complaints. If you are just going to have this notebook out in the open then you don’t even have to worry about it.

I use this product for attendance in my classes. I teach 6 classes with 4quarters. I get to see the whole attendance picture for the student without having to turn on the computer, go through screens, etc. That takes more time than opening a book. I only have 25 to 31 students, so there is additional space to put more information.This particular time I purchased this roll book, the pages have a hard time moving on the metal spiral. Usually it's smoother. It'll work, pages won't rip, but I'll have to be careful.

This Assignment Record book is exactly what I needed; a no frills, easy, lay-out type record book for tracking assignments. The only thing I would like it to have that it doesn't already is slightly larger boxes for taking the students'' scores down. It could be slightly sturdier, but still hard to tell since it's still the beginning of the year.

I have collected grade books for many years. This is my first Elan record book. It's a perfect size. The only thing I would change would be to have the pages printed a bit darker. Looking at the book in person, the pages are a little on the pale side. For those of you who have used the Ward products compare the two. The Ward record book has a richer print quality. I still really like my Elan Grade Book. It's a gem.I would strongly advise the use of a ballpoint ultra-fine tip (.02 mm) for writing in this grade book as the spaces are smaller due to its convenient compact size. I've included a picture of the pen I recommend for use when marking this grade book. It's a .02 mm accountant's pen by Bic. I have used this record book for several years to keep track of our school attendance. When it was time to get a new one, there was really only one choice. Other record books only have 25-30 lines, which isn't enough. This book has 50 lines, just what i needed. So this is the record book to have. Its well made and durable. As I said, it has 50 lines and is arranged in weeks, or columns of 5, so it works perfectly. Go ahead and look around, but you will come back to this record book. Its the best!

Great little book, however it arrived damaged. This is the third Elan product that I ordered that arrived marred in some way. It is disappointing as I really like Elan's products.
