First time going with a non manual option for grating/slicing. I was a bit disappointed with this machine -tried it first with a small block of mozarella - and despite following the (limited) instructions well part of the cheese ended up stuck outside the blades (between the plastic edge) not sure if that derailed the grater but this ended up scratching the plastic pretty badly upon first use. Also it spits in a messy way.We also tried fries and the results where tiny pieced of fries (very short) and parts of the potato again getting stuck outside the grater.Not worth the counter space and time spent washing / putting it together in IMO.Will stick mostly to manual use.

We love this grinder a bunch! It is so nice when we buy block cheese to grind it using this instead of by hand. It isn’t too hard to clean really. Just have to be careful with the blades. Comes apart easily and stores well. Isn’t too quick so you get everything cut easily. Would recommend!

I decided to make salsa. Green peppers, onions, garlic, and other stuff.Green peppers just mushed. Onions just mushed. Both did terrible out of the machine. I had to use a lot of force, and still mush. I tried the next size up on blades, but then I had French fries out of the grater, and still had to use a lot of force.Parts of the pepper never made it through the chopping part and slithered around the outside edge. Then I had large pieces of pepper uncut that I had to just throw away.I have not tried it on cheese or other harder items.Not sure if it is worth purchasing. So far I am not impressed at all.I would say that using it on soft fruits and vegetables may be a waste of time. Using it on harder items it might work just fine.I finished my salsa in about 1/10 the time using my hand slicer. What took me 10 min to squish my ingredients in the grater, I was able to do in about 30 seconds with my hand grater/slicer.Cleanup was fast and easy with it. That made it a two star.

Nice electric grater. Not the most powerful motor, but does a respectable job. It does do a good job on veggies and things, but cheese seems to get a bit sticky and gummy in there.

I don't know if I found the instructions a bit confusing or I am just not the brightest crayon in the box, when it comes to mechanical technology, but it took me longer than it should have to figure the set up of this contraption out. That said, once I did, it was a breeze to cut the cheese! I got this for the primary use of shredding cheese as it is not only less costly to shred your own but also healthier. Now that I understand the set up, next time will go much faster. I had quite the mess going on, by the time I was done and I was amazed by how easily this machine cleaned up...even the grating blades cleaned right off with my sprayer hose from the sink and hot water. Even though it has suction cups at the bottom for securing to a surface, I still found myself having to hold it down with one hand and press the cheese bar through with the other. I cannot say how this works on vegetables, but it was sure 'grate' for cheese!

Works good and easy to clean. I haven't tried all the blades but the product seems to be pretty heavy duty and did a good job on cheese and carrots.
