Those are beautiful and trendy coffee and tea cups but be careful they are extremely fragile. Only for special occasion or guests not for daily use.

Having recently purchased a Nespresso and enjoying the automated artistry it created, I was looking for a cup that might show this off a bit. I wasn’t thinking clear insulated glas, but when I saw them, I thought they might be ideal. Turns out, I was right.The packaging was nondescript, but the glass was well packed and received in perfect condition. They are well made and definitely have a functional insulating vacuum. It keeps the coffee warmer longer than the traditional mugs, and they are attractive too. They even look good empty just sitting there. Also, they clean up quickly and cleanly. I personally think they add something to the enjoyment of your beverage due to the pleasing visuals.I am glad I gave them a try, hopefully you will too.

After ordering a Leverpresso glass pourover set that had it's own double wall vacuum mug, I was impressed with how well it retained it's heat and ordered a couple other sets of double wall glass mugs from different brands. This pair of mugs is one of the two sets I ordered due to liking how they looked and wanting to have a more durable set of Borosilicate mugs. An added benefit of this set is that the Leverpresso glass dripper fits these mugs nearly perfectly, although it seems snugger on one than the other.Like the other double wall mugs I have, these retained heat very well and without having to do any kind of pre-heating, especially during slower pour-over brews. If you don't feel like extra steps and wasting water or energy to preheat a mug, and your coffee sometimes gets a bit cold before you can finish it, these are great.These are larger and wider than I was expecting, although they only hold an average mug's worth of coffee (about 200 ml/8-9 ounces). If you like the reaaaally tall/large coffee sizes like you can get at a starbucks, these may be too small. My hands are not huge, but not small either. Although I can hold them with one hand, it was large enough that I felt compelled to use both hands to make sure I held it securely. I think I would like these better if they were a bit slimmer around the base.Aside from the dimensions not being what I expected, my only issue with these are the three stickers on the glasses upon taking them out of the packaging. The barcode and "dishwasher safe" stickers underneath were easy enough to remove, though someone put a third sticker with the brand name on the INSIDE of the glass, where it was difficult to remove. One of these stickers also tore instead of peeling neatly off, and it was exceptionally difficult to scrape and clean the remaining glue residue. I guess these were stickered like this for individual resale in a specialty store, but CMON, put the stickers on the OUTSIDE of the glass. You shouldn't have to fight to peel them out and worry about the glue chemicals that might leach into your first few drinks if you don't clean them as well as you think you did.

This set of borosilicate glasses has,a pleasing modern style. Lightweight they preserve beverage temperature while protecting hands. Although they are dishwasher safe it is best to hand wash so as not to compromise the plug on the bottom. The geometric shape gives the glasses a contemporary look and makes them easy to hold. Lovely.

When I'm not making espresso I prefer french press so no paper filters are stripping off the coffee oils that give it so much of its great smooth taste. I just upgraded my coffee bean grinder, bought a new amazing french press pot with a cool double filter plunger and am making the best tasting coffee I've ever had. Logically, to complete the evolution I was looking for a new cup. I always loved the look of these double walled cups but sadly have found them to be less than durable. One of mine that had lasted the longest just surrendered to a crack when I thoughtlessly lightly tapped the metal mixing spoon on the rim. I thought that breakage might mark the end of my double walled glass cups, until I saw these, so had to give them a try. Unlike many glass cups the internal well is one shape and the external area tapers out toward the bottom to contrast the two geometries. I love the look. The outer body is a bit wide, but I like that since it feels substantial when I hold it as opposed to grabbing a fragile glass handle. The upper rim that your mouth contacts does feel a bit wide also, but I think that extra heft might give it a bit more structural integrity. I wont be testing that theory by taping any more metal spoons on it, though. Whether that air gap actually helps keep your coffee warm longer is debatable; perhaps a tad. I think a regular ceramic cup, if preheated might actually work better. But I think you get these cups just for the look, which I absolutely love. Then there's the price. At about 8 dollars per cup, I think it's reasonable. If you have a small hand it might feel a bit large to grasp, so keep that in mind. My hands are a bit large so it feels about perfect. Can't say if they will be durable over time. I don't put things like this in the dish washer but carefully hand wash them always. Only have them a short time but already this is my go to cup. Recommended.
