Ok. Face up to it. I am a retired teacher and I still need to have glue in the house, for whatever.

Where didn't the satisfying peel glue go . This is not the same stuff from my. Child hood bought for my son for slime. But I wanted the feeling again but it's just almost gooey but peelable ? No at all the glue I grew up with still a classic as always

I've been teaching myself how to restore/repair antique gesso frames and good old Elmers is one of the ingredients, works like a charm! I also restored an old antique little chest to use as a jewelry box and I used Elmers (slightly watered down) to "paint" on to hold the drawer felt in place, glued right onto the wood. It comes off easily enough if you make a mistake, but holds tight if you don't. It also works very well to restore old paper labels stuck to the back of antiques, to preserve them for the next custodian.

Good old Elmer white glue! Not as cheap as in stores during school supplies sales but very convenient to have it delivered. Good online price.
